What are the Yancheng Funing dialects?

Yancheng dialect refers to the dialect used in the Yancheng area. In the broad sense, Yancheng dialect refers to the dialect used in the entire city of Yancheng. In the narrow sense, Yancheng dialect only refers to the Yancheng urban area in the Jianyan dialect ( Tinghu District, Yandu District).

The total dialects of Yancheng City include Jianghuai Mandarin Yanghuai Pian Jianyan Xiaopian, Binfu Xiaopian and Jianghuai Mandarin Tongtai Pian Fengtai Xiaopian. In addition, there are 12 state-owned farms in the territory, with employees from Shanghai and Jiangsu. There are various dialects in various places; in the coastal areas of Dafeng City and Sheyang County, there are also dialect islands such as Wu dialect. These foreign dialects are only used locally.
