Why do elephants stay standing for a while after death?

2. Knee problems Elephants are creatures similar to the God of War. They can't bend their knees for almost a lifetime. Wild elephants, in particular, rarely bend their knees downward. After a long time, the elephant's knee joint gradually solidified and became more and more dull. When an elephant dies, the knee joint gradually becomes solid. Plus the elephant's limbs support the body, so it will be particularly stable. And I can't squat down, so I have been standing. When an elephant meets the wind or other conditions, it will fall down completely.

3. Hit the elephant after falling. After natural death, elephants will fall down after a while. However, after falling down, we can still find their limbs stiff and vertical. Elephants will be allowed to autolyse unless the enzymes inside the tissue start joking. After a period of time, the stiffness will gradually ease and the body will be completely soft.
