Happy Ghost (1984)

Synopsis

In the Qing Dynasty, Zhu Xiucai (Huang Baiming) was so angry that he failed to get the top prize after taking the exam more than ten times. He lost his father, lost his wife in anger, and committed suicide by hanging from a beam in a certain temple. As a result, he could not be reincarnated, and his soul was attached to the hemp rope he used when he committed suicide.

The time comes to the 1980s. Hong Kong high school girls Lin Xiaohua (Li Lizhen), Lin Qingqing (Luo Mingzhu) and Yan Ruyu (Lin Shanshan) encountered a storm on their summer trip. To avoid the rain, they broke into Zhu Xiucai's house~ After the rain in the temple where the massacre was held, Lin Qingqing brought the hemp rope with Zhu Xiucai's soul into the room in a panic, causing a scream.
