Wang Shouyi's anti-counterfeiting rights protection

With the rise of market economy, in 1987, Wang Shouyi shisanxiang began to register its trademark and applied for a design patent. A total of five trademarks have been registered for Xiao Thirteen Fragrant Aquatic Products. Later, Wang Yinliang registered with his father's head and name and printed it on the box. However, counterfeit products on the market can't be prevented and can't be played.

1993, shisanxiang group sued Zhengzhou people's court for patent infringement for the first time according to the patent law. Zhengzhou People's Court ruled according to law: ordered 10 defendant to immediately stop the infringement, destroy all counterfeit products and compensate economic losses. Just after the lawsuit was won, at the end of 1993, more than 20 kinds of counterfeit thirteen incense appeared in Henan Province, and Shangqiu, Nanyang and Luohe blossomed everywhere, especially in the border area between Henan and Shandong, where counterfeiters fought guerrilla and hide-and-seek.

1994 Henan Provincial People's Congress passed the Supplementary Provisions on Punishing Counterfeiting Registered Trademarks, which strengthened the confidence of Shisanxiang Group in counterfeiting. With the cooperation of public security, procuratorial, legal, industrial and commercial departments, the two major counterfeiting dens located at the junction of Henan and Shandong were eliminated in one fell swoop, and the counterfeiters were brought to justice, which became the first case in which domestic counterfeiters were sentenced. In order to protect the unique name and brand of Shisanxiang, relevant departments have given strong support.

In 2003, China Food Industry Association and China Condiment Industry Association issued a document, pointing out that' Thirteen Fragrances' has become a unique name and a well-known brand in the field of condiments.

1999 and 2000, the state administration for industry and commerce twice asked the industrial and commercial departments of Shandong, Hunan, Guangxi, Guangdong, Anhui and other provinces to seriously investigate and deal with 20 kinds of products with serious counterfeit thirteen incense. In 2003, the Trademark Office and Trademark Review and Adjudication Board of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce recognized Thirteen Fragrances as a specific name.

Since the 1980s, Shisanxiang Group has spent more than 20 million yuan on counterfeiting, and cooperated with law enforcement agencies to investigate and deal with 96 cases of counterfeiting and selling fakes. Before the project, there were only five or six factories in China that produced thirteen incense products in violation of rights, all of which were workshop-style individual industrial and commercial households.

No wonder Wang Yinliang said: "Thirteen incense has developed to this day, to a certain extent, by counterfeiting, which saved the market from counterfeiters and sellers." Counterfeiting protects the brand of Shisanxiang, and more importantly, protects the interests of consumers, making Shisanxiang a product that the public can trust.
