In order to promote young people's self-esteem, self-confidence, self-reliance and self-improvement, on the afternoon of April 9, 2008, the "Ren Jimei Lecture" co-sponsored by Shandong TV Life Club and our school was held grandly in the Audio-visual Education Hall of our school.

Frankly speaking, Ren Jimei's speech has no earth-shattering content and no ups and downs, just some trivial things in her daily life for decades. At the scene, Ren Jimei also showed us several small things in her daily life-embroidery, paper-cutting and painting. However, it is these ordinary things that fascinate, move and even bring tears to the audience. Many students said that it was a great shock for Ren to be so confident and self-reliant despite his own congenital disability. We must follow the example of any teacher, never give up our studies or the future, and be an upright person and a useful person to society.

Ren Jimei, 6 1 year old, was born in a fisherman's family in Haiyang city. She was born without arms. Her family was afraid of jokes from outsiders, and she was not allowed to leave the house at will since she was a child. But the injustice of fate did not make Ren Jimei bow. She has an indomitable spirit since she was a child. She often practices "foot skills" when adults are not at home-learning to take things with her feet, eat, wash her face, comb her hair, and even try to thread needles with her feet. From the beginning, I was clumsy in kicking bowls and chopsticks, and in the end, I could not only handle them completely, but also do some things more skillfully than normal people. /kloc-When she was 0/0 years old, Ren Jimei saw other children go to school and cried to study, so her family sent her to school. At school, she turns over books with her mouth and writes with a pen between her toes. Every exam is the first in her class. Later, due to family difficulties, she dropped out of school just after finishing the second grade, but she soon pulled herself together. Besides doing housework, she reads and writes when she has time, so she can read newspapers and write letters. Then she learned to draw and cut paper, and soon she learned to cut clothes with her feet.

On the way to see Ren Jimei home, she smiled and said, "You see, I am cheerful and optimistic and open-minded. This is because I know how to cherish first. I was born without a pair of arms. I used to be the laughing stock in other people's conversations, but I got more attention because of it. I want to learn to thank instead of complaining, and learn to repay others instead of asking for it. " Listening to these ordinary words can't help but make people move.

"The blade comes from sharpening, and the plum blossom fragrance comes from bitter cold." Ren Jimei finally lived a happy life with her persistence. Her spirit deeply infects us, and she has a lot to learn from us. Her positive, tenacious and persistent attitude towards life, believing in herself and striving for self-improvement will definitely bring great shock to everyone. I believe that this optimistic and positive attitude drawn from her will promote the improvement of our own quality and the rapid development of our school.
