The joy of growing vegetables

It took us three months to get to Han Ji from our hometown.

? The first place I want to go is my vegetable garden. I imagined that there would be overgrown weeds here, but what I didn't expect was that it became a large dense rape field. Looking at the lush rape blossoms, I imagined that it would turn orange and harvest a lot of rape blossoms before long. Should I keep them, or should I open up my garden and continue to grow vegetables?

After thinking for a long time, I reluctantly decided to give up what I love-to eradicate them. I brought a sickle and shovel, plus my hands. First of all, I started from the smallest field. At noon that day, the sun was very strong. I worked alone in this small field for nearly two hours, and finally the grass was pulled out. I have blisters on my hands. But looking at that bare field, I am quite relieved.

? In the next few days, I continued to cultivate several large fields. When a piece of land is reclaimed, I will turn over the land reclaimed the day before. Some are planted with sweet potato tips, and some are sprinkled with amaranth seeds.

? Sometimes I go to work at noon and sometimes I go to work in the afternoon. I feel tired every day. Because I have to work in the fields every day, I have a lot of housework and my own online class, so I am very busy.

After four or five days of continuous work, several fields were basically turned over. What should I plant for them on the uncovered land? So I put a little of each vegetable. I planted a box of beans, a box of edamame, a box of cucumber, a box of pepper, tomato and eggplant in six plots on the courtyard wall. In the two fields outside the courtyard wall, I also planted bamboo leaf vegetables and taro respectively. I planted four plots in front of my dormitory, including beans, cantaloupes, tomatoes and bitter melons, and so on. Anyway, it's all full.

? I used to laugh at my mother-in-law when she was around. I always think she will come to the garden two or three times a day. I don't know what she is doing. Now I finally understand that gardening is also a pleasure. Now I plant seeds, but I will harvest vegetables and food in the future! No matter how much I can harvest tomorrow, I believe my work will not be in vain.

? Imagine that my vegetables will bear fruit tomorrow, and I feel tired and worth it!
