Couplets is the first TV series in China with couplets as the theme, which is a unique artistic treasure of the Chinese nation. It organically combines historical facts, historical figures and funny stories circulated by the people, and takes the love and bumpy fate of couplets as the main line, creating a historical legend that sometimes makes people laugh and sometimes makes people cry. This play is literary, intellectual, philosophical and entertaining. It is deeply loved by the young and old in Xian Yi, with distinctive national style and artistic characteristics.
The drama "Lian" focuses on shaping a Han character with distinctive personality and wit-Ling Daxiao. He is similar to Liu Sanjie of Zhuang nationality, the love of two generations of Uygur nationality and Bala Gancang of Mongolian nationality, but completely different from them. In the play, all kinds of entanglements of prodigy Ling Daxiao, son of an official Cao Longju and Confucian scholar Su Yune are closely related to couplets. The fate of the characters and the suspense of the story are closely linked and touching, and couplets have become an inseparable part of the plot of the play, even the key point and source of power for the development of the plot. In these fifteen episodes of TV series, * * * has collected nearly 200 couplets. Most of them are clever use of couplet stories of historical figures that have been widely circulated among the people for hundreds of years. They not only include various types of antithesis, enigmatic antithesis, top goal, clutch equivalence (mostly clever antithesis), but also introduce various usages such as wedding celebration, birthday celebration, satire and trial into the story to make it entertaining and harmonious, so that people can enjoy beautiful and moving couplet stories. In order to help viewers who have watched TV series and want to know more about couplets, especially teenagers, and obtain relevant knowledge about couplets, when editing this collection of couplets, we briefly introduced the plot according to the development of the story, gathered the couplets in the play and explained them, explaining the origin, characteristics and related stories of these couplets. To make a long story short, it is neither a pure annotation nor a pure appreciation, but I just want readers to enjoy TV dramas.
There are two points that need to attract readers' attention: first, couplets are quite strict in terms of words, levels, rhythm, sentence patterns, etc., but the requirements for clever sentences can be slightly relaxed to avoid damaging the meaning because of the rules; Second, couplets usually end with a flat top and a flat bottom, which is the so-called "flat top and flat bottom". However, when two people are talking, the sentence is not necessarily the upper part, but also the lower part. On the contrary, the dialogue is not necessarily flat, but it may be flat. This is why "sentence" and "dual" are used more than "upper couplet" and "lower couplet" in explanation.
We sincerely hope that the broadcast of "United Lin Zhenqi" in the whole country will make a modest contribution to promoting our national traditional culture and building socialist spiritual civilization. We look forward to the concern and care of friends from all walks of life, and look forward to the widespread popularization and development of couplets, a traditional art form, in today's society. It is also a good thing if we can use this traditional writing form of the motherland to exercise the thinking and feeling ability of primary and secondary school students. Of course, we also hope that friends from all walks of life will give enthusiastic suggestions on our mistakes and omissions.

first episode
[Summary] The story happened in a water town named Xiucaiying Village in the south of the Yangtze River in the Ming Dynasty. Ling Daxiao, the child of Ling Zhen, the owner of a poor tofu mill, is smart and eager to learn, and is good at poetry and songs. One day, my father Ling Zhen and I chatted while swimming in the river. On the way, I met a fat monk and an old shepherd, who were laughing and playing with him. He won them a nickname "Wenquxing" with his witty and childlike wonderful answers. Cao, a squire in the same county, was arty and ambitious, forcing his spoiled son Cao Longju to learn couplets from his teacher, and as a result, he made a joke of "radish pair". On one occasion, Li Taishi, an important official of the Tang Dynasty, visited the county seat. I don't know Xiao Ling's filial piety, but the sedan chair is lying on the street, blocking the official road, carrying the imperial book "There is no book in the world". All the onlookers are sweating for him.
A thousand-year-old tree as a clothes hanger-Ling Zhen
Wanli Yangtze River is like a bathtub —— Lingda Cave for Young People
Commentary: This is a couplet written by Jie Jin, a gifted scholar in the Ming Dynasty. He answered his father correctly when he was a teenager. The occasion is like a TV series, on the river. This is a pair of metaphors. Sentences and dialogues show a broad mind, especially antithesis, which is rare as a juvenile work.
Walnut-Cao squire
Radish-Cao Longju
Commentary: This pair of couplets and the following pair of couplets are all jokes from the people. Cao Longju's confrontation in the play was made only after Teacher Ye reminded him. This couplet is a "noun pair", vegetables are dried fruits, and because of the traditional Chinese character "radish", it is all the same.
Satin squire Cao
Rob-Cao Longju
Commentary: This couplet was explained by Mr. Ye. Luo is the silk and cloth is the cloth of the same kind.
Zhong Gu-Cao Taigong
Gong and cymbals-Cao Longju
Commentary: This couplet was explained by Mr. Ye. Gong is the gong of gongs and drums, and cymbals are the cymbals of cymbals, which is also a noun pair of the same kind.
Yue Fei-Cao Taigong
Luo Fu-Cao Longju
Commentary: This couplet lives up to its name. Mr. Ye explained that Yue Fei is a loyal minister and Luo Fu is a dutiful son, so they can be relatives.
Like to be a fat monk with a bull's head and a dragon's horn.
The dog's mouth vomited ivory —— Young Ling Daxiao
Commentary: This couplet and the next couplet are dialogues between Yu Qian, a famous national hero in Ming Dynasty, and Shang Lan, a teenager. This is a "figurative right", which means that a teenager wears two buns on his head and the teenager scolds him back. Although disrespectful, he speaks neatly and the fat monk is not angry.
The triangle is like a drum stand-the fat monk.
Bald as a Hammer —— Young Ling Daxiu
Commentary: This couplet is also a figurative couplet. It is a metaphor of a teenager with three buns on his head. The teenager satirizes the baldness of the monk. After listening, the monk repeatedly claimed: "Good! "Kindness, put smart, his mind is quite broad.
This wood comes from Chaishan, an old shepherd.
Because of the fire, there is a lot of smoke at night-young Ling Daxiu
Commentary: This is a word pair of "separation and combination" widely circulated among the people: "this" and "wood" are combined into "firewood", and "mountain" and "mountain" are combined into "exit"; "Cause" and "fire" synthesize "smoke", "evening" and "evening" synthesize "much". This is a wonderful couplet, inspired by the scene image in front of the creator, which is expressed in beautiful pictures in the play. It can be seen that the creation of couplets can never be separated from life.
The sun is in the east, the moon is in the west, and Ming characters are born in the old shepherd.
Women are left, children are right, and there is a good man in the world-young Ling Daxiao.
Commentary: This is a pair of conjunctions when Wan 'an was a teenager in the Ming Dynasty: the sun, the moon, the woman and the son were combined as the good. The TV series is set in the Ming Dynasty, and the word "Ming" in couplets has a special meaning.
When a goat goes up a mountain, the mountain touches the goat's foot, baa-the old shepherd.
The buffalo in the water, the nose of the submerged buffalo, and the Ling Daxie called by Cleisthenes.
Commentary: This couplet comes from the "imitation sound pair" and "compound word pair" in traditional cross talk, and "baa" and "baa" are the cries of sheep and cattle; "Mountain" and "water" were used four times, and "cattle" and "sheep" were used twice. When this couplet was circulated among the people, there were many sayings. One is that the "feet" in couplets are "horns" and the "nose" is "waist", which is more harmonious.
Self-satisfied porch window has no vulgar rhyme
I also know the fragrance of grass and trees-Mr. Yun
Commentary: This is a general title couplet, which belongs to the self-title couplet and can show the author's elegant life interest.
Smell the chicken and dance-the old shepherd
Kill the Tiger and Wear the Stone —— Young Ling Daxiu
Commentary: This couplet uses idioms and allusions. This sentence means that Zu Ti, a famous Eastern Jin Dynasty star, was with Liu Kun when he was young. When I heard a pheasant crow in the middle of the night, I got up and went out to dance swords to cultivate heroism. The story of antithesis is that when Li Guang went hunting, he saw a stone in the grass and mistook it for a tiger, so he shot and killed it. "The stone is not clustered", and even the arrow is shot in, which shows that its power is infinite.
Ill-gotten wealth is not desirable-Ling Zhen
If you pay with your heart, you will get it with your heart-young Ling Daxiao
Commentary: This couplet shows the inner thoughts of father and son. At that time, the father was afraid that his son had received ill-gotten gains and that his son had been wronged, so he did a test. The son answered with dialogue, which made the father breathe a sigh of relief.
Wheat, millet and rice, these bastards, who's Mr.-Mr. Wu
Poetry and calligraphy are easy to learn, courtesy is in the spring and autumn period, and people are more serious. Why ask Lao Tzu-Mr. Ye?
Commentary: This is a traditional couplet, which is used properly in the play. Mr. Takeshi thinks he knows everything and finds it difficult for others, but he arrogantly calls "Mr." an asshole. Here, "asshole" and "sir" are puns. The word "serious" in Mr. Ye's antithesis is also a pun, which refers not only to the "serious" in front-poetry, books, rituals, the Book of Changes, the Spring and Autumn Period, but also to "decency". Because people bully others too much, they call themselves "Laozi" and retaliate against each other. "Laozi" is also a pun, referring to the title of elder and Laozi, which is the Tao Te Ching.
The tablets of the Six Dynasties seek truth and meaning.
The objects of the Han dynasty let go of the ancient customs.
Commentary: This is a couplet hung in the play "Main Hall" to show the extraordinary bearing of the host.
Unicorn-Mr. Ye
Flounder-You Ling Da Xiu
Commentary: This couplet is a wonderful answer to Mr. Lu Xun's teacher's birthday when he was a teenager at school. After the students compared "nine-headed bird", "three-legged toad" and "hundred-legged crab", Teacher Wang affirmed "flounder" because "independence" is not a number, but it means "one", and "ratio" is not a number, but it is equivalent to "two". Although there are no numbers, they all have the meaning of numbers, which is a perfect match.
A strong man has a sword three feet around his waist.
There are five books in a man's stomach-young Ling Daxiu.
Commentary: This antithetical couplet is an ancient traditional antithetical couplet. Ling Daxiao, a teenager in the play, used this to answer Li Taishi's question, "How many books are there in your stomach?" . The first couplet is that he came to the scene immediately after seeing the samurai holding swords around him, as a foreshadowing of confrontation; The bottom line is a direct answer, which is general and empty, and also shows the tolerance of the respondent.
Three feet of sky blue satin-Miss Li
Liuwei Dihuang Pill-Juvenile Lingdaxiu
Commentary: This couplet is a "loveless couple" passed down from generation to generation. Satire at a man who paid an official to open a Chinese medicine shop. The first part refers to the color of official clothes, and the second part is the name of patented medicine, which is irrelevant, so there is no love. But the taste is right for the ruler, the ground is right for the sky, the yellow is right for the blue, and the pill is right for the satin, which is extremely neat. The transformation in the play turned satire into humor.
Climbing stairs to see the north and south-Li Shifu
Eating on the Road-Young Ling Da Da
Commentary: this is a kind of "loanword pair", that is, borrowing literal meaning to form a clever confrontation with sentences. This Federation skillfully uses "things" as "east" and "west" directions to play "south" and "north", which is perfect in coordination with the action of eating.
Nantong House, North Tongzhou, North Tongzhou connects North and South-Li Taishi.
East Pawnshop, West Pawnshop, East Pawnshop as Things-Young Ling Daxiao
Commentary: The legend of this couplet has always been the antithesis of Ji Xiaolan's reply to Emperor Qianlong in Qing Dynasty, and it is a famous "compound word borrowing". Except for the borrowing of "East" and "West", all the words in the couplet were repeated at least three times. "Nantong House" is now Nantong City, Jiangsu Province; "North Tongzhou" is now Tongzhou County, Beijing.
If the bridge breaks today, when will it break? -Miss Li
When will the bright moon shine in Ming Dynasty-Young Ling Daxiao
Commentary: This couplet skillfully uses many couplet creation techniques. It is a thimble, that is, the word at the end of the previous clause is the word at the beginning of the next clause, such as the broken bridge in the upper part and the bright moon in the lower part; The parts of speech of some words in couplets have changed, and adjectives or "broken" and "bright" equivalent to adjectives have become verbs at the end of sentences.
Candle burns through the sky, light shoots through the bucket-Miss Li
The explosion sounded, and anger soared-young Ling Daxiao
Commentary: This couplet was made on the spot. This sentence expresses Li Taishi's expectation of "child prodigy", "fighting" and "stars", hoping that his "literary light" will shine in the sky. The dual "anger" is generate of "ambition". As for "anger", it is not aimed at Thai Shi Li, but at those who are proud of their officials and despise the people.
On New Year's Eve, there is no light in the moon, and counting lights adds color to Gan Kun —— Teacher Li
The new spring thunder does not move, drumming, winning glory for heaven and earth-young Ling Daxiao.
Commentary: This couplet was written by Tao Shu, a scholar in Qing Dynasty, when he was a teenager. The sentence was sublimated from the lights on New Year's Eve to "adding color to Gankun", which greatly improved the artistic conception; The antithesis is also extraordinary, and the drums are like spring thunder, radiating the vitality of "making a difference for the world."
