SP service business

According to the relevant provisions of the People's Republic of China (PRC) Telecommunications Regulations, value-added telecommunications services include the following nine items: e-mail; Voice mail; Online information base storage and retrieval; Electronic data interchange; Online data processing and transaction processing; Value-added fax; Internet access service; Internet information service; Video teleconferencing service.

At present, SP services mainly focus on e-mail, voice mail, electronic data exchange, online data processing and transaction processing, while online information base storage and retrieval, video teleconference services and other services still have great development potential. Although IVR is not specifically mentioned in the current regulations, with the development of IVR business, this regulation may be adjusted accordingly.

On April 20, 2004, the Ministry of Information Industry clearly standardized the charging behavior of short message service, and made corresponding regulations for the opaque tariffs, the difficulty in unsubscribing and other situations where consumers have great opinions. This will play an important role in standardizing the sp market and promoting the healthy development of competition.

In addition, since 2000, the international voice for 3G is very high, and some high-end applications of sp services are based on the maturity of 3G technology. After analyzing various situations at home and abroad, the Ministry of Information Industry decisively put forward four sentences about 3G, actively tracking, piloting, cultivating the market and supporting development. This has also laid a solid foundation for promoting the in-depth development of various SP services.
