In the Western Han Dynasty, Zhu Maichen was not rich and lived by collecting firewood. His wife thinks he is worthless, can't have a good life with him, and ran away (or divorced) with someone else. Later, Zhu Maichen became an official, and his wife recognized him on her own initiative. Zhu Maichen put a basin of water on the ramp and said to his wife, if you can catch the water in the basin, I will recognize you as my wife.

There is also a story about Su Qin and her sister-in-law.

When Su Qin was studying at home, his livelihood was basically supported by his brother. His sister-in-law looked down on this brother-in-law.
