"Later, people said, this unknown name is Zhou Cang.

It was Shanxi Tongzhi that was written in Zhou Cang. He was called a general and a Pinglu. First, Zhang Yi's Ministry met Guan Yu in Woniu Mountain and followed him. In the battle of Fancheng, he captured Pound alive. Zhou Cang also died when he defeated Maicheng.

In the Yuan zaju "Single Knife Meeting", Zhou Cang is very imposing. Before going to the meeting with Guan Yu, he sang: "Zhou Cang is a hero today. Everyone bows and throws crossbows, each wears a robe and a banner, and the fierce heroes are courageous." At this time, the image of Zhou Cang has been shaped.

The Story of the Three Kingdoms is also written in Zhou Cang. However, Shanxi Tongzhi and Romance of the Three Kingdoms all say that Zhou Cang died in the Battle of Maicheng. In Pinghua, Zhou Cang didn't appear before, but

after that, when Zhuge Liang came out of Qishan, there was another Zhou Cang. Said Zhou Cang used wooden oxen to transport grain. Sima Yi had hundreds of horses made in imitation of the captured wooden cattle and horses, and only a few steps could be taken with a wooden pestle. He wondered, Zhuge Liang's wooden ox is a flowing horse, and it is feasible to hit a pestle for 3 steps, but why can't I hit it? A few days later, Zhou Cang took the gauntlet. Sima Yi, however, had Zhou Cang drunk and asked him what Zhuge Liang's tricks were. You told me that I would give you rich gold, silver and jewels to make your family rich. Zhou Cang said with a smile, of course, there is a knack. The strategist's wooden ox and horse flow, and everyone who carries the pestle reads the wooden ox and horse flow sutra. And he said, these people are all in my charge. I'll go back to the village tonight and write the Muniu Liuma Sutra for you. Sima Yi was overjoyed and gave Zhou Cang thirty gold balls and two good horses. He also said that he would be rewarded after writing. Three days later, Sima Yi sent someone to pick him up, and Zhou Cang had already left, leaving only a letter from Zhuge Liang, which said that since ancient times, no five people could make a wooden cow and a flowing horse. You are a famous Wei, and you still learn from me. Isn't that a joke? Sima Yi was so angry that she tore the letter to pieces.

This is obviously an idealized legend. People don't want their beloved hero to die prematurely, so imagine that he not only didn't die, but also made a hearty play of Sima Yi, who was treacherous and cunning. Writing Zhou Cang in The Romance of the Three Kingdoms is also very simple, probably because he is only a foil figure after all. But among the people, there are more legends about Zhou Cang than Romance. Generally speaking, he is powerful, brave, simple, honest and lovely. Zhou Cang's Sima in Pinghua is an example. In addition, it is said that Guan Yu compared his strength with him when he received him. Guan Yu took a straw and told him to throw it. Zhou Cang tried his best to throw it only a few feet away. Guan Yu lifted a bundle of straw and threw it more than ten feet away without exertion. Guan Yu told him to kill the ants on the ground. Zhou Cang extended his iron fist and punched three times, but the ants were still moving. Guan Yu stretched out a little finger and pressed it gently, and the ant died. Guan Yu asked him to pinch the egg again. Zhou Cang held the egg in his palm, and it could not be broken with all his strength. Guan Yu only used two fingers, and the egg was broken when he pinched it. Zhou Cang was subdued by Guan Yu because he admired Guan Yu's divine power.

It is also said that Zhou Cang has three hairs on the arch of his foot, and he can travel thousands of miles every day and 8 at night, catching up with Guan Yu's red hare, which is a veritable scud. Lv Meng bribed Zhou Cang's fellow countryman, got him drunk and shaved his feet. Zhou Cang couldn't run fast, and Guan Yu returned to Jingzhou from Maicheng. Just because Zhou Cang didn't keep up with the knife, he was caught and killed by Lv Meng.

Until later, people were still creating stories about Zhou Cang. For example, the Suzhou commentary "The Three Kingdoms" said that Zhou Cang was king in Woniu Mountain. One day, an old monk instructed him to vote for Guan Yu and left him a portrait of Guan Yu. He looked at it every day and thought about it every day. As it happens, Guan Yu went through five passes and cut six generals to escort yisow through Woniu Mountain. Just as he was walking, a group of strongmen rushed out, headed by a dark-faced little man with a curly beard and a strange description, with two hammers at his waist-it was Zhou Cang. He took a fancy to the BMW under Guan Yu's seat, because Guan Yu in the portrait didn't ride a horse, and he wanted to take a good horse for his future owner, but he didn't recognize the red-faced Guan Gong who he asked about every day. When the two men met with a knife and hammer, they saw that Zhou Cang waved the hammer as light as a swallow and whirled in all directions like a mass of black wind, so that Guan Yu could only parry but could not strike back. Later, after some questioning, I realized that he was Zhou Cang, and the owner I was looking for was Hulao Pass who chopped Hua Xiong with warm wine, and later chopped Guan Yunchang in Wen Chou, Yan Liang, and robbed BMW, just to give it to Guan Yunchang. Guan Yu almost laughed out loud, so he showed Zhou Cang who he was. Zhou Cang looked left and right, and compared the portrait carefully. He felt that all the silkworms looked like eyebrows and phoenix eyes, but the beard was short. It turned out that Guan Yu used a gauze bag to protect the pod beard. When Guan Yu removed his beard and let out a long beard, Han Zhou Cang came out at a glance.

Zhou Cang in this story is naive and much more vivid than that in The Romance of the Three Kingdoms.

There is also a story about Zhou Cang's war with Zhao Zilong in Suzhou's review of The Three Kingdoms. After Gu Chenghui, Zhou Cang was ordered to go back to Woniu Mountain to woo the original people. Unexpectedly, Pei Wushao on the mountain was picked by Zhao Zilong who pretended to be a horse dealer looking for Liu Bei. Zhou Cang avenged Pei, and there was a big war with Zhao Zilong. Zhou Cang's dancing double hammer is like a storm, which is getting tighter and tighter. At first, Zhao Zilong was beaten only by parry. However, the fine Zhao Yun pondered Zhou Cang's hammer method while playing, and found that he seemed to disrupt the knocking, but he had his own way, which only had one chance to strike back.

Zhao Yun saw this opportunity and stabbed it with one shot, hurting Zhou Cang's calf. Zhou Cang grabbed the soil eucalyptus to the wound, jumped up and hit. Zhao Zilong still shot again, but Zhou Cang refused to accept it. He hit again, shot again, and even stabbed three times, but Zhou Cang still refused to accept it. Later, he learned that this white-faced scholar-like general was the famous Zhao Zilong.

This story is still about Zhou Cang's foolishness and frankness. This is, of course, the author's fiction, but Zhou Cang's character is very touching.
