Which two actors have the best chemistry together in the movie?

Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt, but with an obvious caveat.

I feel like I'm cheating a bit here, because while Lawrence and Pratt have great chemistry in Passengers, that's not why I chose them.

First, some background.

I am a movie fan. In addition to devouring movies I can get my hands on, I also watch pre-release interviews, especially if the movie features actors I find interesting or entertaining.

Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence are at the top of the pile.

Pratt is just straight up funny. He's pretty awesome - just watch a few Parks and Recreation shows to see what I mean - and his Kim Kardashian jokes? are real contenders for best game ever.

The cast included current and future comedy icons, and nearly everyone said he was the funniest guy on the set. Awesome

Lawrence isn't too shabby either. She had days of self-deprecating jokes and a goofy brand of charm. And she seems sharp.

Put the two of them together with the fireworks.

The chemistry the two passengers shared during the extended press conference was incredible. It's almost tangible.

There are jokes, and then there are these two. Their sensibilities, at least in interviews, are so perfectly in sync. The two were exchanging gadgets at a minute-by-minute pace.

Whether it’s on the BBC’s playground insults or Wired’s autocomplete interviews, the Graham Norton Show or seemingly thousands of interviews? Together, their Chemistry is rare.

Just interacting with George Clooney and Brad Pitt.

While we do see some of this in Passengers, a lackluster script and some ill-conceived decisions derail the film and weaken their chemistry.

But right there, the time is ripe for the picking.

What they need is the right hook to really shine in their friendship - whether it's a clearly written romantic comedy or a comedy about siblings, these two can handle it.

So while their on-screen chemistry is somewhat underwhelming, largely due to the quality of the movies they're in, their off-screen chemistry shows that with the right plan, they can Thrive.
