However, there has been a saying on the street that "Kuixing Building is the top scholar". So, is there a Kuixing Building in Old Street? It is said that more than a hundred steps southeast of Guandi Temple, a towering attic rises from the ground, which is the Kuixing Building in Old Street. Bricks are laid below, the door faces south, the hexagonal pavilion is supported on the top, and the glazed tiles on the top cover shine. Kuixing's face is ferocious and terrible. Look at his red hair and blue face, glaring, wearing a yellow robe and having two horns on his head, which is simply the shape of a ghost. If you look closely again, you will find that this Kuixing holds Mo Dou in his left hand and a thick brush in his right hand, with the tip pointing southeast, just like a phoenix nodding. Looking down, his left foot is raised, his sole is painted with the pattern of the Big Dipper, and his right foot steps on a big stone turtle, which looks like a golden rooster. It seems that the image of this kuixing is really extraordinary.

Standing on the pavilion, looking at the railing, there is the murmur of water and the reflection floating south; There are smoke curling in the north and streets are vertical and horizontal; In Dongwan, reeds bloom one after another; On the west road, porters are in an endless stream. The Kuixing Building in the old street, standing in a corner, is a wonderful observation deck.

In fact, Kuixing is what people often say. Looking up at the starry sky at night, the fourth star of the Big Dipper is the famous Wenqu Star. There are often gods corresponding to Wenquxing in fairy tales, and Huang Paoguai in The Journey to the West is an example. Come to think of it, Huang Paoguai's image is really similar to Kuixing's. The legend about Kuixing goes like this: In ancient times, there was a scholar whose name could not be tested. This man is brilliant, brilliant, quick-reading, and speaks eloquently. But he is so ugly that he has repeatedly hit a wall in several exams. What does he look like? It is said that he looks almost like a monster, with a crooked nose and squints, a pockmarked face, which makes people afraid and walks with a limp. However, his article is wonderful and can be called a must. This time, he passed the exam easily, ranking first, and finally attracted the attention of the emperor. On the day of the entrance examination, the emperor interviewed himself to see what kind of person he was. Seeing his appearance, the emperor was really surprised that there were such ugly people in the world. Coupled with the limping walking posture, the emperor's heart suddenly cooled by half. At this time, the emperor had to sit patiently and ask, "What happened to your face?" Answer: "Back to the Holy Land, this is a pockmarked face reflecting the sky, picking up stars and fighting." The emperor was very interested and asked, "What happened to your leg?" He replied, "Go back to the Holy Land. It's a one-legged jump. Take the lead." . The emperor was moved by his agility and said, "Well, I'll ask you again, who is the best writer in the world?" He thought for a moment and said, "The articles in the world belong to my county, the articles in my county belong to my hometown, and the articles in my hometown belong to my brother. He asked me to change the articles." The emperor was overjoyed, so he took his article and read it carefully. After reading it, he was amazed and appointed him as the top scholar. Later, this gentleman ascended to heaven and became a champion. Since then, the dragon and the huge eagle pattern have been carved on the stone steps in the middle of the main hall of the palace. The second place was separated from the flower detective, so there was a saying that the champion Lang was "the first".

In the second year of Guangxu, Cao Hongxun, a native of Wei County, won the championship in one fell swoop, and was the third champion in high school. Winning the first prize at home is a great event to honor our ancestors. Cao Jia's house was widened and the flag was raised at the gate. Needless to say, a tall and magnificent archway will be built for the champion in Hutongkou. So, shortly after Cao Hongxun won the first prize, the Hutongkou archway was started.

At this time, the people in the hutong are celebrating happily, just like winning the first prize among themselves, and no one feels anything wrong. Until one day, there was a little boy of five or six years old in the alley. He asked his father, "What is the alley mouth being built?" The father said, "This is the building of the champion archway! The Cao family won the first place and was proud of their ancestors. They set up a tall stone archway in our hutong mouth for people to pay their respects. " Who knows, the child added, "His house has blocked the archway in the alley, so if I win the first prize in the future, where shall we put our archway?" Hearing this, my father said the same thing, but this champion can't be won just by saying it. Don't say the number one scholar, that is, winning a prize and burning incense for eight generations. Isn't Jin Fan ecstatic after winning the juren? The child doesn't know the depth, but the father knows it well and doesn't take the child's words seriously at all. However, since the child said so, I can't help but admire the child's cleverness. So, my father played a joke on the person who built the archway: "Hey! Listen up, people on the memorial arch.
