Jimmy, whose real name is Liao, is a picture book painter in Taiwan Province. Jimmy graduated from the Fine Arts Department of China Culture University and worked in an advertising company for twelve years. Later, he drew illustrations for newspapers, magazines and other publications.

Selected as one of the top ten most influential books in 1999 Jinshitang, it created a new style of adult picture books and set off a wave of picture book creation.
