Why do Vietnamese love playing football?

The day I arrived in Vietnam was autumn, but for Vietnam, there was no autumn, no winter or even spring. In this tropical country full of plumeria, there is only one season in a year.

So when I arrived here, I had another summer.

In the long summer of my life, I traveled in Vietnam for 29 days. I arrived in Hanoi on the first day. In fact, the validity period of the visa is 30 days. I am afraid that I will lose money by paying the money, and I am afraid that I will have to pay a detention fine after the expiration, so I chose such a figure in a compromise.

It's the first time to go abroad, and I'm inexperienced, so my laptop can't connect to the Internet. I borrowed my roommate's computer, but I still didn't get it. Finally, I simply went to the public area at the front desk of the hotel to find a computer. It's a pity that the broken computer doesn't have Chinese input method, and I haven't found a solution after staring for a long time.

I got in touch with Vet at noon and was hanging out. Vet said he was on vacation, asked my address and made an appointment with a coffee shop near me. Two people met in front of the coffee shop.

The first cup of Vietnamese coffee, a pure street shop, was mixed with the sticky smell of condensed milk, and the ice bumped in the afternoon.

Vet said he would go back to a competition later and asked me if I wanted to go and see it. I asked what game it was, but when I heard it was football, I lost much interest. He also said that he was playing with friends. At the football field in the suburb of Hanoi, he said the game was wonderful.

I think it's better to go and have a look. So the two men crossed the motorcycle army in the street again. There was no rush hour at that time, and there were not many motorcycles on the road. When they came back from the football field, it was already dark in Hanoi, sitting in the back seat of a motorcycle, and the wind was blowing.

In fact, I am a little unhappy when I think of the picture on the football field just now. Vet forgot about me as soon as he came on the stage and went to his teammates. His teammate's girlfriend pulled me aside and we sat on the edge of the lawn watching the game. The game is very lively, but I don't understand it at all. I just keep seeing the children running back and forth. They are all fighting for the ball.

I once watched a TV program in which Dicky Cheung played football, like soccer boy or Kung Fu football. I forgot the name, but that's great, because with Shaolin Kung Fu, it looks like I'm looking forward to it. When there are contradictions, everything in the world is lively. But everyone on the football field is staring at the ball with great interest. I really don't see anything interesting.

At the end of the game, Vet finally remembered me and asked me how the game was. I honestly don't know, but I really don't understand. As if he didn't hear me, he said to himself that his friends would come to play once a week and sometimes twice.

Many years later, I heard jokes about the national football team in other people's mouths, and I saw a contrast somewhere, saying that some players eat sea cucumbers every day to supplement their nutrition, while the captain of the Vietnamese football team has to go to the vegetable market to sell shrimp after training.

The contrast is strong, but this is not the strongest place. Why did Vietnamese football win? This is not a fluke or because they are so powerful, but because some of their football players really love football from the heart.

Just like that evening near dusk, everyone's face was happy at the end of the game, as if they had not won or lost. Many years later, I understood that competition is competition and love is love.

When you compete for the sake of competition and strive for fame and profit for money, you may only get a sentence "I'll try", but if you really like it and really want to try, you will definitely not say the words "I'll try" because you will try your best.

Why do Vietnamese love playing football? I don't know. Just like there are so many motorcycles on the streets of Vietnam, this may be a local cultural symbol. People's hobbies can be cultivated, but they can never cultivate a person to learn to give up. Because I am unwilling, the focus here is my heart.

Seeing the salaries of football players in China, I finally understand why some coaches are all smiles because of their paunchy bellies. Failure is nothing more than "let others talk".

It is natural that people should be paid for what they do. But if you take the money and do nothing, it's for hooligans.
