Usually, in the face of these indelible marks, most car owners will choose to go to 4S stores or repair shops for paint repair. However, because this kind of work requires a very deep technical foundation, the painter's level of paint mixing and painting is very high, so the price of touch-up paint is often not too low.

It should be noted that before buying the car paint, it is necessary to confirm the model year and color of the car paint with the seller to avoid the large color difference between the car paint and the car paint after receiving the goods.

The model tested is a Peugeot 408 crystal silver with a model of 20 13. After years of weathering, many traces have been left on this 408. You see, the decorative strip on the car door has been scratched badly, and the black primer has been exposed. Let's start here.

According to the instruction manual, the first step is to use relatively thick low-mesh sandpaper to polish and divide the periphery, so as to make the scratches and the surrounding car paint smoothly transition and facilitate the subsequent filling operation. When the sandpaper is almost worn, the second process can be carried out to fill the scratches with mending soil. Because the position of the scratch is just at the corner of the decorative strip, it is an experimental method to correct it with a scraper, which directly leads to a series of problems in the subsequent painting process.

Patch is a quick-drying material. It only takes 2-3 minutes to dry after application. If the patch cannot be filled in place with a scraper during this period, the following grinding process will be very troublesome.

After mending the soil, sprinkle some water on the surface and polish it again with the finer high-mesh sandpaper in the set meal. There is only one purpose, and the car paint should be polished on the same plane as possible, so that the scratches are smooth and smooth, the surroundings are perfect, and there are no bumps and potholes.

After the patching and polishing are completed, the patching needs to be dried for half an hour as required, and the next operation can be carried out after the patching is completely dried. During the waiting period, Bian Xiao was not idle, so he quickly took out the key product "Makeup Pen" and made a colorimetric test after the trial spray. It should be noted that the pigments in the touch-up pen need to be fully shaken before use. Before the actual painting, you can try to spray on the test paper first, and then compare it with the original car paint to see if the color is consistent. As shown in the figure, it can be seen that the paint color is basically the same as the original car paint, and there may be slight color difference.

If the paint is dark, thinner can be added to the paint to adjust it. Although a slight color difference was found in the painting, considering the amount of diluent added, Bian Xiao did not dare to use it rashly, so he chose to give up using thinner.

When filling and air-drying are completed, we can clean the paint surface with the clean dough provided in the set meal to remove possible stains and wax films, and then we can spray paint. In the process of painting, the techniques are very particular. The spray distance between sprinkler irrigation and car paint should be uniform, 10- 15cm. After each spraying, it should be isolated for 3-5 minutes before spraying for the second time until the paint completely covers the repair surface. However, in the process of actual use, finding the problem is not as simple as expected.

Because sprinkler irrigation and painting adopt the assembly principle, the tank itself does not contain car paint, and the compressed gas in the tank quickly flows over the surface of the nozzle, bringing the paint out and spraying it on the car paint. However, there seems to be some problems in the design of this principle. After many attempts, Bian Xiao could not spray paint evenly on the car paint. The main reason is the uneven speed of the nozzle, which leads to uneven paint coverage on the car body, and finally leads to the unsuccessful painting.

Finally, Bian Xiao also tried to use scratches to remove abrasives to repair, so as to reduce the possible paint color difference, but the result was in vain, because there was a problem with the painting process, so even this repair was powerless. The photographer (owner) standing by has long been speechless, but because there are many scratches on the car body, he didn't care too much about the result.

In order to look more beautiful, I used a small brush in the touch-up pen to repair other obvious scratches. Although this repair will lead to the untidiness of the paint surface and leave some brush marks, compared with the original leaked large black primer, it will at least not look too abrupt after being repaired with a touch-up pen.

Through Bian Xiao's imperfect touch-up paint experiment, at least it is explained to consumers that touch-up paint for car body is not as simple as expected! Therefore, for those small partners who have already planned to repair their own paint, DIY repair car paint must think twice before you do it. Especially when the vehicle has a large area of touch-up paint or a special paint color (excluding black and white), it is best to touch up the paint in a 4S shop or a repair shop, and it is not recommended to touch up the paint yourself. Once the self-repairing paint fails, it will not only lead to obvious color difference of car paint, but also affect the price of used cars. And if your car is just hit by a stone in some places, leaving a small pit, you can properly cover it with a small brush in the touch-up pen. Don't imitate painters in 4S shops to polish and paint.
