How to "move" music lessons in primary schools

How to Make Music Classroom "Move"

I have been working as a music teacher for 12 years, and I have been thinking about a problem-how to make students move in music class. What I want to say below is some of my teaching experience and views.

For a long time, in traditional teaching, we always take teachers as the leading factor and students as the center. This is based on teaching, so that students can cooperate and adapt to the teacher's teaching. For a long time, students are used to passive learning, and their initiative in learning gradually disappears. In addition, the songs in music textbooks are not dynamic, which makes many students lose interest in music lessons, and some even don't want to talk.

Music class must let children boldly "move". Let students use their hands and brains, change passive learning into active learning, and let students take the initiative to participate. Really go to the music world to invite a tour and enjoy the beauty.

The biggest difference between rural children and urban children is that primary school students are afraid, unwilling to move, or just moving around. There is no active atmosphere in music class. They are timid, shy and have no confidence. Especially the senior students, sang well together, but when asked to perform alone, no one sang on stage, and everyone was embarrassed to ask. But the lower grades are different. Last semester, I was a peacock in grade two. In order to improve the classroom atmosphere and arouse students' enthusiasm, I made up several simple dance moves of the Dai nationality, which the students liked very much. But when I asked them to perform, some students actually wanted to stand on the chair and jump, which made me almost unable to control the scene. Everyone knows that dancing can enliven the classroom atmosphere, and also give children more time and space to think and discuss freely, and cultivate students' initiative and creativity in learning music. Not every grade, every song can be used, we can only grasp it according to different grades and different song characteristics.

Senior students have a certain foundation in rhythm, but they are embarrassed to move. Children also have self-esteem, fearing that they will be laughed at by other students for their poor performance. First, the teacher performs first, and then asks some basics to perform. In fact, whether students do well is not the main thing, but the most important thing is that students are willing to participate. The fourth grade "Swing" has a short rhythm and is cheerful, and students especially like this song. I saw that my classmates had a good grasp of this song, so I called several students to perform. At first, it was named. Later, other students saw that there was no pressure and rushed to perform. Of course, at this time, only people with good classroom discipline can perform. In order to express themselves, students can wait with peace of mind, hoping that he is next.

Junior students are "fun", and teachers should make full use of their characteristics to stimulate their interest in music. "Fun" is the expression of students' interest, especially for junior students, which is a combination of learning and playing, which conforms to the cognitive characteristics of junior students. In designing this course, in order to combine the age characteristics and psychological characteristics of junior students, I want them to feel some music phenomena actively, understand music knowledge, cultivate a certain ability to feel music, and fully reflect the scientific nature of performance. In the teaching activities, I seized the students' curiosity and designed several games to let students participate boldly and further feel the usefulness of "becoming stronger and weaker". In this way, students' interest in exploring knowledge is stimulated again, and the classroom is "alive". For example, in the last outing, in order to fully mobilize the enthusiasm of students, students were first introduced in the form of stories, and then songs were required to be displayed in the form of performances. At this time, they all thought it was very interesting, so I chose my classmates who are usually humorous to play the characters in the song and let them play freely. These students' impromptu performances are very appropriate and their movements are also very appropriate. It seems that this is a very natural thing. Other students are also very involved, that is, in the process of acting and watching drama, students have the deepest understanding of songs and learned how to "move" in music class.

These are some of my personal teaching experiences, and I have some suggestions to talk about below.

I don't know if you have heard Orff's music. I came into contact with it when I was a kindergarten teacher and thought it was very good. At that time, the kindergarten had just come into contact with Orff's music teaching method. When I went to study at that time, I thought, this Orff music teaching method is so good that I can not only play but also learn, and I am very happy, and I am not tired of teaching and learning.

So what is Orff's music teaching method? Orff teaching method is an advanced and unique music teaching method. It cultivates children's sense of music, especially their sense of rhythm and hearing, by saying nursery rhymes, clapping their hands, playing games, telling stories and singing, so that children can feel the happiness brought by music and love music. Traditional music education in primary schools has lost the creative characteristics of "music", a special art form. However, it takes imparting music knowledge and training music skills as the main teaching goal, teachers as the center, teaching materials as the focus, and imprisons music education in a fixed area, so that students are often in a passive position, and their innovative consciousness and enthusiasm are greatly suppressed.

In fact, every child is born a musician, and every child likes swimming in Le Hai. Orff believes that expressing thoughts and emotions is an instinctive desire of human beings, which is naturally expressed through language, singing and dancing, which has been the case since ancient times.

Children's life experiences are not shaped by too many social influences, so they are naturally creative in music. After seeing a picture, they can express it in music according to their own understanding. Through simple improvisation and improvisation of musical instruments, children can also work as artists and use music to explore, create and exert their imagination. When there are no musical instruments, they can play with their hands, feet, chopsticks and newspapers instead of music, which fully reflects their creativity in musical instruments.

I remember once there was no electricity in the dance class and I couldn't play music, but I couldn't suspend classes because of this. What should I do? Suddenly thought of Orff music, right there. I improvised for the students in that class. This kind of improvisation is called "shooting". You can shoot both hands and feet, and you can shoot as you want, but you should shoot according to the teacher's rhythm. At first, I thought students didn't know how to do it. I didn't expect them to improvise well and creatively. Some clap their bottoms, some clap their foreheads, some clap other students' hands, some use their feet, and some … all kinds of postures. After class, several students came to me and said, "Teacher, shall we still do this next class?"

Whether it is dance rhythm, games or Orff music, as long as we communicate, experience, collide and blend with students with childlike innocence and love, children's nature will be revealed. Children's nature is curious and active, which can stimulate children's interest in music, their desire to participate and their passionate feelings of dancing, singing and playing, make students move in music class, take children as the center in teaching design and teaching goal positioning, use more games or actions to make music rhythm, infect students, and drive them to have the greatest interest in learning music, because music class is more about dancing with children.
