How to communicate with hamsters

Methods to communicate with hamsters are: give each other a familiar time, appropriately reduce the hamster's ration, maintain dialogue, touch frequently, etc.

1. Give each other a time to get familiar with each other

Don’t touch the hamsters you just bought, because they have gone through a bumpy road and are scared now. You suddenly If you touch it, it will definitely think you are going to attack it and will instinctively bite you. Therefore, if you want to establish a friendly relationship with your hamster, you should first give each other a good first impression.

You can place the hamster in the hamster cage first, prepare food and drink, and then leave it alone for the time being. After a day or two, the hamsters have completely adapted to the home, and it is even better to slowly build a deeper relationship with them.

2. Appropriately reduce the hamster’s ration

The reason why rats are called hamsters is because they have a desire for food and can’t wait to use their small bodies as a warehouse. Hamsters can't eat much every day, but they like to store food. If they don't have enough food reserves, they will be very sad. We can use this characteristic of hamsters to induce hamsters to play with us.

For example, we can appropriately reduce the amount of food the hamster eats, and then wait until the hamster shows an extreme desire for food, then put their favorite food on our hands, and then wait quietly for the hamster to slow down. Slowly crawl towards our palms. This process may take a while, but don’t worry, I believe that no hamster can withstand the temptation of delicious food.

3. Insist on dialogue

Don’t refuse to talk to your hamster because you think the hamster can’t understand it or are afraid of others laughing. Whistles and commands are repulsive to hamsters. You should treat your hamster like a child and use language to communicate with it. As long as you persist every day, your hamster will soon respond to names.

4. Frequent petting

In the initial contact, you should often talk and pet the hamster, or use a softer brush to comb the hamster's hair, which can enhance the sense of intimacy.
