The Jade Emperor was furious and dumped the soldiers of the Heavenly Palace to catch the Monkey King. During the battle, the Monkey King was ambushed by the old man and unfortunately captured. The old man sent him to the blast furnace. As a result, instead of being burned to death, he made the Monkey King even more divine.

So the Monkey King fought back and beat the Heavenly Palace out of the water, scaring the Jade Emperor to flee.
