There are not many days in Chaidomo.

In 2020, a sudden epidemic broke many travel plans such as visiting relatives and friends, treating people to dinner and traveling during the Spring Festival, and people had to stop and stay at home. Now, this house is a month old!

However, during this month at home, what impressed me the most was not the epidemic situation, but the feeling that there were not many days after working for three meals a day.

At first, I stayed at home, looking at the stewed vegetables and the wax goods hanging on the wall, thinking, I'd better stay at home. There is so much food at home, so what are you afraid of?

But in January, the rice at home is like a low tide, and the sky is falling. I ate one bag after another (20 Jin), and so did the stewed vegetables. I thought it was too salty at first, but I stopped eating it in a few days and marinated it again. Whose wax figure is hanging on the wall? I stole it overnight, leaving only two fat knives. You know, these wax goods are all ready, but it will take half a year. It's only been a month. ...

Chai Duoduo's days are numbered. Growing up, the father who didn't talk much said this sentence the most. I don't know how many times he said it in our ears, which made our ears calluses. Sometimes, when we are tired of listening, we talk back and say, Dad, what else can we say?

Dad is almost eighty, and his living conditions are ok. It doesn't matter what he wants to eat or wear. He can be free, but dad is as diligent and thrifty as before, and he is not willing to waste a penny.

It is not easy for my brother to go home. Our children and sisters often get together at Dad's house when my brother comes home, so cooking naturally falls to the elder sister and the second sister. Of course, we buy our own food.

But after a meal, my father didn't think that Elder Sister used too much oil, saying that several bowls of vegetables were so shallow, which was because Second Sister used too much ginger, saying that cooking used so much ginger. Just show us a little.

My father saves electricity at home. After dinner, he always washes his clothes when the sun is high, and then goes to bed or goes out for a walk.

We often laugh at dad, saying that dad is really hard and blessed and will not enjoy it. He was born to work hard and be stingy! But no matter what we say, dad still scrimps.

After so many years, I finally understand that my father is not stingy, but he knows too well that no matter how many days there are, it is meaningless. Dad is not hard, but he has experienced too many ups and downs in life, knowing that life has had good times and bad times, and that life is better than hard work at any time!

The few days in Chaidomo have taught me that a family should be thrifty in order to keep a steady stream, overcome the impermanence of time and meet the future!
