What does Jiu Mengzi mean?

Jiu Mengzi refers to a person who is addicted to alcohol, drinking every time he drinks, and drinking every time he drinks.

Jiu Mengzi, Northeastern dialect, has a derogatory meaning. It refers to being friends with alcohol, getting drunk when exposed to alcohol, having low abilities, drowsiness, and being in close contact with alcohol all day long. Basically, you must drink alcohol with every meal, either more or less. Being friends with alcohol will lead to drunkenness, low ability, and drowsy eyes.

"Wine", pronounced as jiǔ, was first seen in the oracle bone inscriptions of the Shang Dynasty, and is a knowing character in the Six Books. The basic meaning of "wine" is ethanol-containing beverages, such as liquor and beer, made from fermented sorghum, rice, wheat or grapes. The extended meaning is a drinking feast, such as sitting with wine. In daily use, "wine" is also often used as a verb to express drinking, such as drinking noodles.

When you walk past Jiu Mengzi, you can always smell the smell of alcohol. But people are relatively sober most of the time, but they tend to drink irrationally, stagger around, talk nonsense after drinking, and lose control of themselves.
