What is the difference between the third edition and the second edition of Jin Yong's novels?

Besides the theme, there are generally only two aspects in modifying a novel, one is the text, and the other is the plot. The old version of Frogs and Clams is quite interesting to read, but it is not so interesting after it is deleted. Qin was Yang Guo's mother in the old edition, but it was completely deleted in the second edition, and Mu Nianci was made Yang Kang's mother. Although I regret this role, I think it is not a pity to delete it. This is a preconceived idea. This thing is like love. Once men and women agree with each other in their hearts, they only feel that each other's good and even shortcomings have become advantages. Even if I see better boys and more beautiful girls in the future, I won't change my mind. And if there really is such a person and I see a better person, I will not hesitate to give up what I have now, and I am afraid that I will be despised by others. When we read novels, we often involuntarily blend in with our feelings. As the characters in the story crisscross the north and south, we follow their experiences, whether they are happy or sad, which are really "the life of love and the death of evil desire". This love-hate relationship is very strong even in a small place. For example, this revised book changed the eighteen palms of the dragon into twenty-eight chapters of the dragon, and changed the Yijin Sutra into the Ancestor Sutra. In this regard, Jin Yong explained that some of these changes make the plot more coherent, while others are more worthy of the name. I don't think so. Because of the eighteen chapters of the dragon, the Yijin Sutra is deeply rooted in the hearts of the people and cannot be changed. There are also examples in Mandarin where the pronunciation of a word has changed because of people's habits. Can't Jin Yong take care of the feelings of our generation and two generations and let this change go? Maybe people younger than us will accept the Dragon's Twenty-eight Palm and the Foot Sutra, because that's what they will read at first, and we won't accept it. Writing here, I suddenly remembered the legend of Wulin. Fortunately, this TV series was broadcast early, otherwise the classic scene of "slapping ten dragons" would not be used. This is a joke. In CCTV's The Condor Heroes, the name of Quanzhen Taoist Yin Zhiping was changed to Zhen Zhiping because of protests from Taoist priests. There is such a person as Yin Zhiping in Taoism in history, but his behavior can't be compared with Yin Zhiping in the novel. Their protest was understandable, so CCTV replaced Yin Zhiping with Zhen Zhiping, and the audience didn't mind, because Yin Zhiping had nothing to do with us. Historically, there was a man named Gao in the Southern Song Dynasty, named Gaizhi. When I was studying in high school, I saw his words, and then his name, which was very interesting. At the same time, I thought to myself: Why does this person have such a name? So I started a series of thoughts related to Yang Guo's experience. Let's take his name as an assumption: if our favorite Yang Guo was called Gao from his ancestors, then he changed it, and now suddenly someone comes from the descendants of Mr. Gao in the Southern Song Dynasty, and then he protested that the name insulted his ancestors and asked the author to change it to Yang Guo or Liu Guo (the girl claimed to be Liu from the Valley of Despair) or something else. Anyway, you can change it. At that time, what attitude will our readers have? I don't call your ancestors high and high. It is his pleasure to call him by this name. Don't you see how many people know this name now? Yang Guo and Yin Zhiping will not enjoy the same treatment, because Yang Guo is unshakable in our hearts, even if he changes his name, we will not agree. As for Yin Zhiping, we don't care whether you change it or not.

Besides, some plots changed by Jin Yong this time, such as Zhou Zhiruo's request to Zhang Wuji and Zhao Min that "children can have children, but they can't get married", have little influence and are acceptable. As for some plot changes, I really can't accept them. For example, Huang fell in love with Mei Chaofeng, and Duan Yu broke her obsession with Wang Yuyan. Just think about Huang's nostalgia for his dead wife, so he made an unreliable ship, and prepared to "put his wife's body in the boat, sail out to sea, surf the shore, and Yu Di played" Tide of the Blue Sea "and went to Hong Tao with his wife". How can I believe and accept Huang's love for others? This other person, whether Mei Chaofeng or others, even the most talented and beautiful woman in the world, I can't accept it. This need not be proved by the love mentioned above. Huang himself is the most perfect person in this field in our mind. How can we allow such a perfect person, a person we have accepted for so long, to be defiled? In the book, Huang always doesn't care about himself. Others framed him for killing the seven chivalrous men in the south of the Yangtze River. He said he killed the seven chivalrous men in the south of the Yangtze River. He doesn't care about himself. If someone tries to frame his dead wife and say something unclean, I think Huang will be furious. Such a happy ending, of course, we are willing to obey his wishes, let him and Wang Yuyan together, and be a happy couple. But now you have to tell me: after catching up with Wang Yuyan, Duan Yu was fed up with her nagging and narcissism, and finally "broke her demons" by understanding the myth of her persistent appearance? I am really speechless. I just feel that this last innocence is gone. Martial arts novels are called "adult fairy tales". What we see from fairy tales is that love and hate are clear, and evil is invincible. The prince and princess live happily together from now on. The fact that we accept in society and reality will naturally tell us that sometimes love and hate are not so clear, and sometimes they are oppressed by evil. However, the happy love and happy life of the prince and princess will always be gradually eroded by the daily necessities, diet and daily life after marriage, and gradually lose their original brightness and fragrance. We all know that. But because of this, we will always keep a world in our hearts, where we still believe in fairy tales, we are still innocent, and we are always full of hope. Is this an escape? Is this childish? Don't! This is what we want. Perhaps in this way, we can always summon up courage and encourage ourselves to be strong. For example, "the legendary swordsman" and "Duke of Lushan Mountain" are more like fables than fairy tales. They were originally the result of this, but they were not revised later, so we didn't lose much in our hearts. All the good things are torn up for people to see, and Lu Xun said it was a tragedy. Jin Yong's revision created the tragedies of Duan Yu and Wang Yuyan, and this revision, for our readers, is it not a bigger tragedy?

Jin Yong, 80, has some new views on life, love and all kinds of things in the world. When these ideas were added to his novels, he found that many original descriptions were inappropriate, so this was an overall revision. I think that Jin Yong himself has a new view, but it doesn't have to be reflected in his previous novels. If you want to change, you can change the text, but you don't have to change the plot. The author of Sherlock Holmes in England once wrote that Sherlock Holmes was dead, but it was strongly opposed by readers, so the author brought Sherlock Holmes back to life in a magical way in the next book, so as to keep the story going. We readers can fantasize by ourselves, such as spring, sunny days, rose gardens, butterflies flying and the fragrance of milk tea; Another example is sunset, cool breeze, soft beach, seagulls, ebb and flow. However, our own life always tells us that reality is always inseparable from daily necessities and trivial matters, which always makes our life ordinary and unsatisfactory. For example, in the garden in spring, there may be a cat crawling on the table, knocking over milk tea and soiling the princess's new clothes, or a minister suddenly asks for an audience and asks to discuss military affairs. For example, on the beach, maybe the cold wind suddenly strikes, making people feel cold, or the prince wants to encircle the princess's waist and spin and play on the beach, only to find that the princess is getting fuller and fuller and can't be easily picked up. With all this, the happy life of the prince and princess will always be greatly reduced. Therefore, clever fairy tales often avoid writing these stories, and only write about the hardships of princes and princesses, or destroy monsters, or defeat witches, and live a happy life from then on, and then come to an abrupt end. "Dragon Eight Branches" only wrote that Duan Yu and Wang Yuyan got married, but didn't write it down.

We watched the American film Shrek, and now we have made the third film, which is a typical subversion of tradition. Here, it is not the prince who falls in love with the princess, but the monster who falls in love with the princess. The beautiful princess will also restore her ugly face at night and become a monster. There are other details that are a direct subversion of traditional fairy tales. In our view, such subversion is a novelty and an attempt. We found it interesting and thought it was a pretty good movie. However, have you ever wondered what would happen to us if this subversion and anti-tradition were everywhere in our lives? Can we still find it fresh and interesting? I'm afraid not. Look at the big talk, boiling water and jokes that are flooding the market today, and you will naturally know. Occasionally fresh words will make people sick. On the contrary, we can see the influence of tradition on us, which shows that tradition is deeply rooted in people's hearts. We naturally understand that this love for tradition and fairy tales is actually the repair and promotion of our subconscious dissatisfaction with real life. The advertisement says to make up for the deficiency. Our love is also a subconscious remedy. Is this unrealistic? Is this immature? As I said above, absolutely not.

Looking at the love between Duan Yu and Wang Yuyan, we naturally know that it may really be as Jin Yong rewrote: Duan Yu and Wang Yuyan became tired of her nagging and narcissism after they got together. However, because of this, it is necessary to break up such a good marriage, such a good couple? I don't think it's necessary. Keep it so beautiful and let them live happily ever after.
