Wuyi rock tea narcissus belongs to semi-arbor tea tree.

Semi-arbor tea trees can grow very big and tall, like daffodils, and they can grow to 5 meters high, like trees.

And narcissus tea trees can be very old and grow for hundreds of years.

After decades and hundreds of years of wind and rain, the branches of tea trees are covered with moss, and tea trees have been integrated with the surrounding environment.

Of course, it does not mean that tea will have a "cedar flavor" for more than 50 years.

As early as 1930s, Wu Juenong said in the article "Problems of Tea Industry in China" that "the older the tea tree, the harder the tea quality and the worse its quality."

In other words, the quality of tea will gradually decrease with the growth of tea tree age.

However, for daffodil tea, the increase of tea tree age has changed some of the original tastes, but it has not affected the quality, and there is even a "cedar flavor".

So far, there is still no clear answer in the tea industry, why only narcissus tea trees will do this.

Therefore, the name "Old Fir Narcissus" naturally comes into being, because its tea quality has not deteriorated, but the more charming it is!

Mr Chen Dehua, former director of Wuyishan Tea Research Institute, conducted a research experiment on the relationship between tree age and quality. The results show that the content of inclusions in tea is the highest at a young age, basically stable in adulthood, and will decrease obviously after old age.

It is concluded that the optimal economic age of tea trees is about 20 years under normal fertilization management conditions.

At the same time, he also investigated cinnamon in Wuyishan tea garden. He found that the quality of old Cinnamomum cassia planted in 1980s was not as good as before, mainly due to the increase of tree age.

Therefore, even if the age of cinnamon tea tree reaches the standard of "old fir", the quality of tea has been declining, not to mention, like the old fir narcissus, the older it is, the more attractive it is.

Moreover, cinnamon is more "fragrant". With the increase of tree age, the content of tea decreased in different degrees. At this time, cinnamon can no longer bear the golden signboard that "fragrance is not as good as cinnamon".

When cinnamon loses its fragrance, is it still cinnamon?
