Is the author of the article "The Second Sima of the Western Han Dynasty, Nanyang and Wolong in Economy" afraid of others? Guess who he is.

Zeng Xiaoyun (Lecturer in Synchronous Writing Training Camp with Ceng Laoshi)

"The article is the second Sima of the Western Han Dynasty, and the economy is Nanyang and Wolong." I believe many friends are familiar with this famous couplet.

If you want to ask who the author is, maybe 99% people can blurt out: Left.

However, the author believes that this association is not left.

According to the notes of the late Qing Dynasty, this couplet was written by Zuo before leaving the mountain and posted at home. For example, Chai, a native of Cixi, Zhejiang Province, recorded Volume 4 of Brahma Record and wrote "Together Knowing Left":

The two couplets recorded here are widely circulated. Among them, there are many versions of "Left" mocking each other, and today many people regard it as a joke. I'm afraid many people in America believe it. Because we know that it was not Zeng Guofan who invited Zuo to go out of the mountain, but Zhang Heluo. He was in Xianfeng for six years (1856) before he made the meritorious military service for Zuo. However, few people doubt the connection between Sima and Wolong.

Mr. Liu Jianghua, the author of Zuo Zhuan, made a textual research on the anecdotes that happened to Zuo from the perspective of couplets by consulting a large number of files in Qing Dynasty, and questioned several famous couplets. One of them is the couplet on Brahma Lu Cong Road.

Mr. Liu Jianghua defined Zuo's "not going out of the mountain" as two periods: one was before he became the governor of Hunan (the second year of Xianfeng 1852), and the other was before he formed the "Chu Army" and led his troops to fight (the tenth year of Xianfeng 1860). He believes that some time ago, even the Sima Wolong couplets written by Zuo could not have been seen by Zeng Guofan, who was an official in Beijing at that time. In the later period, from renting a house in 1856 to buying a house in 1859, the only chance for Zuo and Zeng Guofan to joke together was when Zeng Guofan went to Zuo's family dinner in 1858 on July 26th. However, since Zuo and Zeng had just reconciled at that time, it is doubtful whether they would make jokes together.

Of course, from the above research, it is not certain that the couplet of Sima and Wolong was written by Zuo. The author only questioned, but did not clearly point out the real author of couplets.

Recently, the author read an elegiac couplet, which may solve the mystery of the real author of Sima and Wolong couplets.

Who has it?

Exactly left.

Who is the bearer?
