Do public holidays mean weekends?

1. A public holiday is a weekend, which refers to the time when you have to rest for a certain period of time when you work according to the law or an agreement concluded according to law. It is illegal for companies to work on legal holidays. The employing unit shall negotiate with the laborer to extend the working hours, that is, overtime. Since this is a negotiation, it is of course necessary to reach an agreement on overtime hours and overtime pay, otherwise it will be forced labor. The unit requires employees to work overtime and must negotiate with them. If the unit takes improper measures to ask employees to work overtime, employees can refuse. Although employees may not refuse to work overtime under some special circumstances, the unit still has to pay overtime wages, which must be implemented in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations of our country.
