How does Shang Yang discuss the necessity of the rule of law?

Accurately speaking, business only discusses the importance of "law", but not the importance of "rule of law".

Although there was a dispute between Confucianism and Legalists about "rule by law" and "rule by man" in ancient China, the essence of the dispute was only the dispute between "relatively fixed law enforcement mode (Legalists)" and "relatively flexible law enforcement mode (Confucianism)".

Simply put, the rule of law should include three important links: legislation, law enforcement and justice. Legislation is the foundation. The foundation of the rule of law is constitutionalism. What is constitutionalism? The "great man" has long said: "Constitutionalism is democracy." Therefore, democracy should also be the basis of the rule of law. If there is no real democracy, where can there be the rule of law? What a big joke.
