Li gang's anecdote

In the second year of Jian Yan (1 128), Li Gang was exiled to Hainan and stopped in Leizhou because there were Li people in Hainan. Legend has it that Li Gang is in Leizhou and lives in a square meditation room in Tianning Temple in Xiguan.

Li Gang stayed in Leizhou for about a year, and wrote ten volumes of Detailed Interpretation of the Analects of Confucius, ten volumes of internal chapters of Yi Zhuan and twelve volumes of external chapters. He also wrote more than 20 poems.

Li Gang was invited by Shi Yan, an elder of Huguangyan Lengyan Temple, a fellow countryman in Fujian and a classmate in Beijing, to visit Huguangyan in Suixi County, Leizhou City. Drinking with monks under the moon, talking about the world with each other and singing while drinking. The local chronicles of Gaozhou and Leizhou during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty include "Tianning Temple Pavilion Jacquard" and "Gift to Teachers" written by Li Gang during his tenure. Li Temple is located in Ligang Road, Shaowu City. It was founded in the 13th year of Song Dynasty (1 186). This was taught and advocated by Zhu in Shaowu. He wrote a book and built a memorial tablet for this purpose, which was later destroyed. Song Jian (1260- 1264) moved to the east of Chunmen. In the 16th year of Yuan Dynasty (1729), he moved to Qiaoxi Academy. In the second year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (1369), the academy was changed into an official school and the temple was abandoned. In the fourth year of Ming Dynasty (1439), it was rebuilt in the east of Dacheng Hall in Fuxue, and moved to the west side of the bridge in the sixth year of Chenghua (1470). In the 22nd year of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty (1683), it was rebuilt at the present site. Since then, from Qianlong to Daoguang to the Republic of China, it has been repaired many times. 1983 was converted into "Li Gang Memorial Hall".
