Camel Xiangzi's thoughts after reading

Last winter vacation, I was lucky enough to read Mr. Lao She's novel Camel Xiangzi, and I was deeply moved! Xiangzi, the hero of the novel, was born as a farmer and forced by life to go to town to be a rickshaw puller. At first, Xiangzi was full of confidence and wanted to save money to buy himself a car, but he was hit hard by repeated failures. In the end, I was depressed and gave up on myself. I looked like a walking corpse and went on step by step.

Gently covering the book, I couldn't help crying. I never thought Xiangzi's ending would be so tragic. I remember just opening this book and seeing honest Xiangzi, poor but kind, strong and idealistic, trying to realize his ideals. I thought Xiangzi would definitely have a beautiful and happy life! He will save money to buy his own car, buy one car after another, and even have his own car factory! But I don't know. I just look at Xiangzi from the perspective of modern people, but I ignore a dark and decadent era in which Xiangzi lived.

In that dark society, the upper class is mostly ruthless, and the poor people of the lower class are hungry and miserable. People are ignorant and mentally numb and decadent. So, even if Xiangzi is honest, kind, strong and hardworking, what's the use? He has seen through the life of the poor, either poor or hungry! What's the use of pulling a cart! Sooner or later, it will be a dead end! The poor will suffer forever. Xiangzi lost his ideal, became lazy and opportunistic. He is so evil that he even competes with the old, weak, women and children for food! What about Xiangzi, who is kind and diligent? He died, in an unjust society! Now Xiangzi is a different person! A dirty and rude Xiangzi, a bad rascal.

Although Xiangzi didn't die at the end of the last story, what's the difference between being dead and being dead? I'm not satisfied with the ending. Xiangzi's gorgeous life turned out to be just an ordinary tragedy in the old society! Even if Xiangzi dies, I'm afraid it won't be strange for people to die in the street. In the old society, this was just an ordinary thing, and people would only think that a beggar was dead. I'm afraid even beggars are not as good as the poor.

If Xiangzi lived in our present society, with his efforts, kindness, loyalty and diligence, would Xiangzi still end up like this? No, absolutely not! Xiangzi will stand on his own feet, he will realize his ideal, and he will have a happy and complete life!

Xiangzi's fate is tragic because he lives in that dark society; We are happy because we grew up in this great era. We have the superior conditions to realize our ideal in life, so why not work hard for it?
