"Cangwu Evening News" actively participates in ideological and moral construction activities for minors. It has established a small reporter group of "Cangwu Evening News" in Haining Middle School. It often leads young reporters into society and nature to carry out activities. They organized young reporters to go to the Anti-Japanese Mountains to pay homage to the Martyrs Cemetery and educate them on revolutionary traditions; they organized young reporters to go to the eastern urban area to watch the great development of Lianyungang, stimulating students' enthusiasm for loving their hometown and building their hometown; they organized students to visit the Lianyungang Anti-aircraft Artillery Camp , learn about modern military construction and inspire students' patriotism; organize young reporters to visit the Maritime Safety Administration and Maplewood Bay to enhance their love for their hometown.

Haining Middle School uses "Parents Weekly" to promote communication and contact between parents and the school. Although the "Student Quality Report" can comprehensively reflect all aspects of students' situation, it can only provide feedback once a semester. The time span is too large and cannot quickly reflect students' performance at home and at school, and cannot provide rapid and effective feedback. After research, Haining Middle School produced "Parents Weekly Diary". The "Parent Weekly Diary" contains parents' information about their children's performance at home during the week, students' summary of their performance during the week, parents' opinions or suggestions on the school and teachers, and teachers' evaluation of students during the week, which greatly facilitates the communication between parents and teachers.
