Main functions of science and technology association

Functions of the Association for Science and Technology (1) Keep close contact with scientific and technical workers, publicize the Party's line, principles and policies, reflect their suggestions, opinions and demands, safeguard their legitimate rights and interests, and build a home for scientific and technical workers.

(two) to carry out academic exchanges, active academic thinking, advocate academic democracy, optimize the academic environment, promote the development of disciplines, and promote the construction of the county's innovation system.

(three) organize scientific and technological workers to carry out scientific and technological innovation, participate in scientific demonstration and consulting services, accelerate the transformation and application of scientific and technological achievements, help innovation and development, and enhance the independent innovation ability of enterprises.

(four) to organize and promote the popularization of science and technology in urban and rural areas of the county; Assist in formulating the work plan of popular science and compiling the budget of special funds for popular science. Carry forward the scientific spirit, popularize scientific knowledge, popularize advanced technology, spread scientific ideas and methods, safeguard scientific dignity and improve the scientific quality of the whole people.

(five) to organize scientific and technological workers to provide advice to the county party committee and county government in formulating scientific and technological policies and regulations, and to organize scientific and technological workers to participate in political consultation, scientific decision-making and democratic supervision of local affairs.

(six) the organization belongs to the county natural science society to undertake scientific and technological evaluation, professional qualification identification in the field of engineering technology, technical standards formulation, national science and technology awards and recommendations and other government entrusted work or orderly transfer functions.

(seven) in conjunction with the relevant departments to carry out continuing education and training of scientific and technological workers, pay attention to stimulate young people's interest in science and technology, discover and cultivate outstanding young scientific and technological workers and innovative teams, commend and reward outstanding scientific and technological workers, and recommend scientific and technological talents;

(eight) to coordinate the relationship between county-level natural science professional societies, societies and township science and technology associations, strengthen the disciplinary ties with social sciences, edit and publish popular science and academic journals, and organize public welfare undertakings for scientific and technological workers and scientific and technological activities;

(nine) to manage, guide and coordinate all kinds of science and technology associations, organize cooperation between factories and schools, and organize the establishment of rural science popularization demonstration sites;

(ten) to undertake other tasks assigned by the county party committee and the county people's government.
