Take you into-Dufu Tomb Temple in Pingjiang

There is a tomb of Du Fu in Odamura, 16 kilometers southeast of Pingjiang County, Hunan Province. According to statistics, there are 8 tombs of Du Fu in all parts of China. In the Dictionary of Places of Interest in China edited by National Cultural Heritage Administration in 1984, the tomb of Du Fu in Pingjiang was recognized as the only true tomb in China.

Du Fu, a great poet, buried his bones in Pingjiang, a remote place? When people sigh and sigh, they often can't help wondering: Du Fu is not from Hunan, and Pingjiang is remote and mountainous with inconvenient transportation. How is this possible? Can't be mistaken?

▲ The exhibition room of Du Fu's tomb in Pingjiang, "The Historic Places and the Heritage of Poets", introduces that in 768 AD, Du Fu and his wife and children entered Dongting Lake by boat, drifted to Hunan, and lived in Tanzhou (Changsha). In April, 77, the Hunan military forces caused Zang Jun's dispatch troops to be in chaos. Du Fu left Changsha in the middle of the night in a fire and went to Chenzhou to take refuge in his uncle Cui Wei. When the boat arrived in Tianyi Fang, Leiyang, we couldn't go forward in case of flood, and we couldn't have food for half a day. Fortunately, Nie Ling of Leiyang sent it to beef and white wine. Du Fu turned the bow and returned to Changsha to rent Jiangge, and entered Dongting in late autumn to return to his hometown. Because of his serious illness and exhausted expenses, he had to transfer to Miluo River to seek medical treatment in Changjiang County (now Pingjiang, the county magistrate is Du Fu's good friend). Unfortunately, he died in the apartment of Zhongxianping (Changjiang County Governance) and was buried in Oda. His sons Zongwu and Sun Siye left to guard the tomb, and Du's line was passed down from generation to generation.

Du Fu spent more than two years in Huxiang, and wrote about 1 poems. By carefully studying and studying these poems, Du Fu's life track in Huxiang can be roughly drawn, which is very important for exploring Du Fu's life destination.

There is not much controversy from the first sentence to the sentence "I want to return to my hometown in the Dongting in late autumn" in the introduction of the exhibition room of Du Fu's tomb in Pingjiang. However, from the beginning of the sentence "I have to transfer to Miluo River to seek medical treatment in Changjiang County", there is considerable controversy in all walks of life. The important reason is that we can't read any clues about Changjiang County or any relatives and friends in Changjiang County from Du Fu's poems.

in a dilemma? Put all your eggs in one basket

Looking back at the Millennium Tang Dynasty? The winter before, Du Fu's family was hungry and cold, and they were eager to return home. However, it was a long road, and Du Fu suffered from wind and disease. Going forward is Yuezhou, and going back is Tanzhou (Changsha). The relatives and friends who should seek help and take refuge in the two places have visited one by one. They can only be bumpy on Dongting Lake, and they are worried about going forward and retreating.

"Is there a place nearby to shelter from the wind and rain, where food is available and people can recuperate and heal themselves through the cold winter?" I'm afraid this is a problem that Du Fu is anxious to consider. After hesitation, at the exit of Miluo River near Quzi Temple, Du Fu decided to go back to Changjiang County.

Changjiang county is today's Pingjiang county. In the 14th year of Tang Tianbao (755), Xu Anzhen, a former minister of the Ministry of Industry and Education, fled from Jiangxi Xiushui to the Changjiang River and returned to Taiwan Temple in seclusion (now Xujiafang, Sandun Township, Pingjiang County). At the same time, Liu Guangqian, an assistant minister, lived in Changqing Temple, Bai Qi lived in Baishui Temple, Chen Changfu lived in Huiguo Temple, Lu Shanjing lived in Bajiao Temple and Li Anfu lived in Jiufeng Temple, which was known as "Six Phases Hidden in Pingjiang" in history.

During Tang Tianbao's reign, there were so many famous ministers who fled the war and lived in seclusion in Changjiang River. After more than ten years, it is not surprising that Du Fu was desperate and tried his luck by going back to Miluo River. Perhaps Du Fu, Xu Anzhen and others had contacts with the DPRK as officials, and they had heard something about "Six-phase seclusion in Changjiang River".

The descendants of Du's family were born and bred

A leaf boat went all the way against the current, and it is estimated that Du Fu was dying when he approached Pingping in Changzhi County, Changjiang County. Du Zongwu, who was 17 years old when he was poor, arrived in Changjiang County, where he was a stranger. He had to hold his father's calligraphy "Wind Disease in the Boat" alone, bid farewell to his mother, disembark and go to the county government for help.

Du Zongwu must have met a benefactor in Changjiang County. If not, Du Fu's descendants could not have thrived in Pingjiang. Du Zongwu could not find Odamura Tianjing Lake to temporarily place Du Fu's body; Du Zongwu's mother and son, orphans and widows are helpless and can't survive without food and clothing; Du Zongwu and Du Siye could not obey the funeral system in the Tang Dynasty, and they kept the system for their father for 27 months and did not travel far for three years. Du Zongwu is even less likely to get married, have children and carry on the family line in Changjiang.

In the following forty-three years, Du Zongwu died, and Du Siye, the grandson and son of Du Zongwu, tried every means to bury Du Fu's coffin in his hometown in order to fulfill the wishes of his ancestors. However, the situation is chaotic, and the fact that at least three remains of grandfather Du Fu, grandmother and father have fallen leaves in the final analysis requires huge funds. Du Siye can only painfully dispel the idea of "joining Yanshi" after asking for help everywhere. So Du Siye rebuilt a brick tomb with one room and two ears for his grandfather, grandmother and father, so that the old people could really "bury themselves in peace".

The ancient books recorded many authentications

Du Fu was buried in Pingjiang, Hunan. The earliest record can be found in Yuan Zhen's "Preface to the Tomb of Du Jun, a Yuan Wailang of Tang Dynasty's Old School Inspection Department" commissioned by Du Siye, which reads: "(Du Fu) went to Jingchu in a boat and went to Yueyang to bury him." Another Tongzhi "Pingjiang County Records" said: "Just returned from Shu to illness and died at the turn of Tanyue. Zongwu (the son of Du Fu) helped him to travel to Yueyang for more than 4 years. Ping (Jiang) is a Yue county, and there is a tomb in Oda in the south, which covers the right to bury it. "He died in Pingping, and his descendants had no family."

In addition, Lv Dafang's Chronicle of Du Gongbu, Du's Genealogy in the third year of tomorrow (1623), Chen Gu's Postscript to Du's Family in the 21st year of Ming Jiajing's political participation, and Chen Hongliang's Visit to Du Shaoling's Tomb by Changsha Juren in Jiaqing Period of Qing Dynasty.

In the early winter of the ninth year of Guangxu (1883), the overhaul of Du Fu's tomb was carried out. Zhang Yueling, Li Yuandu and others made great efforts to rebuild the Du Zi Temple in the 1th year of Guangxu (1884), including the dining hall, the gate building, the official hall, the monk's house and the Huanhuacao Hall. In the 11th year (1885), a new "Tieping Poetry Club" was built on the back slope of Guanting as a meeting place for poets. After the renovation of Du Fu's tomb was completed, Zhang Yueling, Li Yuandu and forty-five squire scribes jointly signed a petition to worship Du Fu's tomb.

Time flies. In a blink of an eye, on September 22nd, 25, the completion ceremony of repairing Du Fu's tomb in Pingjiang and the international symposium on "Du Fu's Poetry and the Spirit of the Times" were held grandly, and the Du Fu's tomb in Pingjiang was officially opened to the public. At the opening ceremony, more than 1 grandchildren of Du Fu from Pingjiang and other places held a traditional ancestor worship ceremony.

Since then, the Du Fu Ancestral Temple in Pingjiang, which has undergone thousands of years of wind and rain changes, has reappeared in front of the world, welcoming future generations to worship and remember.
