What is piece rate?

Piecework refers to a form of labor in which workers complete a certain number of qualified products or a certain amount of work to determine their labor remuneration.

Piece-by-piece wage system is a system that indirectly uses labor time to calculate wages. It is a variant of hourly wage system and refers to the wages that need to be paid to individuals according to the established quota and piece-by-piece unit price. Its general manifestations are: excessive progressive piece counting, direct unlimited piece counting, limited piece counting, over-quota piece counting and so on.

Workers with high piece-rate wages have the highest enthusiasm and efficiency, but the formulation of wages is the key. In case of machine maintenance and equipment debugging in the factory, it will waste a lot of time, far from the stability of hourly wages.

Matters needing attention in piece-rate wage:

1. On the premise of determining the standard salary of workers with average proficiency in a certain position with reference to standard working hours, reasonably determine the quantity standard and remuneration standard of piecework.

2. If the unit that implements the piecework wage system requires employees to continue working under the premise of completing the standard quota due to production needs, it shall pay extra piecework wages according to the standard of piecework wage 150%.

3. After the employees who implement piece-rate pay complete the task of piece-rate quota, if the employer arranges them to extend their working hours, they shall pay their wages according to the above principles, which shall not be less than 65,438+050%, 200% and 300% of the piece-rate unit price of their statutory working hours.
