Wushu Association of Hebei University was founded in April 1984. It was founded by Professor Wu Shuqing, a national famous martial artist and national referee of China Wushu, on the basis of Wushu team. At present, the head coach of the Institute of Physics, Mr. Duan Shuxing, is a student organization composed of martial arts enthusiasts under the leadership of the Youth League Committee. Wushu Association aims to advocate martial arts morality, cultivate self-cultivation, strengthen physical fitness, inherit the cultural treasures of the Chinese nation, enrich students' extracurricular cultural life, exercise strong physique and cultivate strong will.

For more than twenty years, Wushu Association has won numerous awards in Wushu competitions in Baoding, Hebei and even the whole country. In 2000, Wushu Association was rated as one of the "Eight Excellent Societies in China", which is the largest, strongest and most fruitful association in Hebei University.

Wushu Association has a complete organizational structure, which consists of five groups: Tai Chi, Men's Long Boxing, Women's Long Boxing, Bajiquan Boxing and Split Hanging, each with its own characteristics. This paper studies more than ten kinds of boxing methods, including Tai Chi, Eight-Pole Boxing, Tongguan Boxing and Split Hanging, including knives, guns, swords, sticks and whips, as well as the rules and optional routines of training and martial arts competitions. Students include school-based, junior college students, graduate students, international students, faculty and staff from Japan, South Korea and the United States. In the past 20 years, more than 8,000 members have been trained. Its core organization, Wushu Team, is composed of outstanding members of Wushu Association, and undertakes the tasks of performance and competition, which provides a good opportunity for the further improvement of Wushu Association members.

Organizational form

At present, the Wushu Association of Hebei University is composed of amateur Wushu team of Hebei University and five groups: Taiji, Octupole, Fengua, Men's Changquan and Women's Changquan. Each group has a fixed training venue and training time, and group activities are held 3-4 times a week, each time 1 half an hour.

Tai Ji Chuan, Bajiquan, Changquan and Split-hanging have their own characteristics: students in Tai Ji Chuan Group mainly learn Chen, Yang, Wu and Sun Tai Ji Chuan swords; The Bajiquan group mainly learns several other basic Wushu routines, such as the big and small Bajiquan; The separate hanging group mainly learns back opening, separate hanging and its equipment; Changquan group mainly learns basic equipment such as primary Changquan, sword and stick.

Hebei University Wushu Team is the core organization of Heda Wushu Association and the advanced class of Heda Wushu Association. They mainly learn traditional boxing methods such as Bajiquan, Nanquan, Cheque Boxing, Split Flip, Knife, Gun, Sword, Stick and Whip, as well as the routines prescribed by the state and optional routines. They undertake tasks such as studying daily affairs, organizing training, participating in competitions and performing. Excellent members of each group can be transferred to the Wushu team at any time to improve, and the overall level of the association can be improved by "promoting improvement through popularization and promoting popularization through improvement". Hoda Wushu Association implements strict attendance system in daily training. Every semester, a general meeting of all members is held, training plans are arranged, excellent coaches, excellent members and excellent activity groups are selected, and honorary certificates and certificates are awarded to outstanding groups and individuals. Organize a group training every semester, and hold a welcome party, a New Year's Eve party and a farewell party for graduates every year to make the Wushu Association family more United, progressive and full of vitality. Open communication mechanism

Hoda Wushu Association has adhered to the communication mechanism of "please come in and go out" for many years, and has maintained extensive contact with martial arts predecessors and famous societies. Wulin celebrities who have been to Hebei University to practice boxing and teach skills include Mr. Wang Peisheng, president of Beijing Wu-style Tai Ji Chuan Research Association, Mr. Sun Jianyun, president of Beijing Sun-style Tai Ji Chuan Research Association, Mr. Guo Ruixiang, director of Cangzhou Wushu Museum, and Mr. Ma Yuannian, a famous martial artist in Baoding, and so on. Mr. Wu also organized members to visit famous martial arts venues and sports meetings in Beijing, An and Shijiazhuang for many times, and invited members of the provincial martial arts team to perform in the school every year to learn skills and exchange experiences.

It is worth mentioning that there is a special group in the Wushu Association of Hoda University-international students. Some foreign students from Japan, South Korea and the United States were attracted by China Kung Fu and signed up for the training of Wushu Association. Another famous Japanese martial artist, Tanigawa University, not far from Wan Li, made a special trip to Hoda University to study China traditional martial arts, showing the infinite charm of China Kung Fu.

National fitness campaign

In order to implement the national fitness program, Professor Wu Shuqing organized two characteristic classes, namely, Tai Ji Chuan class for teachers and Wushu class for teenagers. Tai Chi teachers' group consists of teachers from Hoda University, who mainly study various Tai Ji Chuan and swords. Group training in a fixed venue every morning, with a strong lineup and elegant form, is the most important form of morning exercise for teachers, which plays an important role in enriching their amateur cultural life and strengthening their physique.

The junior Wushu team consists of children of Hoda University staff and children of Baoding City. They receive two-day training between the ages of five and eleven, and have intensive training every summer. These children have mastered certain basic skills of Wushu, and participated in school celebrations and special performances of Wushu many times, enriching campus cultural life.
