Hong Kong Disneyland (English Introduction)

Hong Kong Disneyland (Chinese: Hong Kong Disneyland) is the first theme park in Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, which is owned and managed by Hong Kong International Theme Park.

Hong Kong Disneyland is the fifth magic kingdom-style park, located on the reclaimed land in Penny's Bay, Lantau Island. After years of negotiation and construction, the park was opened to tourists on September 6, 2005. According to the yearbook of China, this is an auspicious day for opening. Disney tried to incorporate China culture, customs and traditions in the design and construction of the resort, including observing the rules of geomantic omen, so as to avoid the problem of cultural rebound. For example, a bend is set on the sidewalk near the entrance of Hong Kong Disneyland, so that good "qi" energy will not flow into the South China Sea.

The park consists of four theme parks, similar to other Disney parks: Main Street, America, Fantasy World, Adventure World and Tomorrow World. There is no frontier area at present, although it may be included in future expansion projects. The cast members of the theme park use English and Chinese for oral communication, including Cantonese and Mandarin dialects. The guide map is printed in traditional, English, simplified, French and Japanese.

The park can receive 34,000 visitors every day and is the largest Disneyland. So far, it has not reached the predetermined number of tourists. The park attracted 5.2 million visitors in the first year, which was lower than the target of 5.6 million. In the second year, the number of tourists dropped by 20% to 4 million, which was lower than the company's target, which triggered criticism from local legislators. However, the number of visitors to the park increased slightly by 8% in the third year, attracting a total of 4.5 million visitors in the 2007-2008 fiscal year. Since the opening of Hong Kong Disneyland in 2005, the theme park has attracted150,000 visitors.

The overall size of the park is often used to explain its poor performance. At present, its area is 22.4 hectares (55 acres), and it will be expanded to 27.4 hectares (68 acres) when three new theme areas are completed. The declared areas, namely Grizzly Bear Trail, Mystery Point and Toy Story Park, are located outside the railway track of Disneyland and south of the current Adventure Park. After the opening of three new lands, the park is expected to receive 7.92 million to 8.92 million visitors in 20 14. Eventually, during the expansion period of 15 years, the capacity of the park will be increased to receive100000 visitors every year.
