The film was filmed at the end of 2013 and was originally scheduled to be released in Japan on July 4, 2014. However, in the end the film company decided to release it in theaters a week earlier on June 27 and provide it to high school students and college students. Admission is discounted for 1,000 yen until July 4th (the original release date). The promotion period was later extended to July 18.
