In the 1960s, the Tanzania-Zambia Railway was one of China’s largest foreign aid complete projects. It took eight years from exploration to completion. Over the past eight years, the Tanzania-Zambia Railway has been filled with the hard work and sweat of experts, technicians and workers from China aiding Tanzania.

The railway starts from Dar es Salaam, the capital of Tanzania, in the east and ends at New Kabiri Mbohi in Zambia in the west, with a total length of 1,860 kilometers.
