Growth process and record of hydroponic Chinese cabbage

The growth process of hydroponic Chinese cabbage roots is recorded as follows:

Peel off several layers of skin outside the roots of Chinese cabbage, and then cut off the leaves above, leaving only about 5 cm of roots. Remember that the root system must be complete, and the upper part is flush. Incomplete roots can't raise beautiful cabbage flowers. Find a slightly deeper transparent container, put the Chinese cabbage roots in it, note the bottom position, then take out the Chinese cabbage roots and pour in clear water, which is less than 1 cm of the white roots. Then put the container in a bright and ventilated place.

After 3 days, you will find that the color of cabbage will gradually turn green, and the gap between leaves will also become larger. In a week or so, the middle position of the root will gradually bulge and grow, and white roots will grow at the bottom of the root.

During the maintenance of Chinese cabbage root system, remember to replenish water in time and change water regularly, at least once a week. If there is nutrient solution, add some nutrient solution when changing water. After all, flowering in the later stage will consume a lot of nutrients.

After a period of maintenance, Chinese cabbage will grow long pedicels in its heart and flower bones like rice grains will appear at the top. With the growth of flower bones, small white flowers will naturally bloom, and the yellow ones are as beautiful as rape flowers.

Origin and producing area of Chinese cabbage

Chinese cabbage was originally distributed in North China and widely cultivated in China. Cabbage is hardy, likes cold climate and is suitable for growing in cold season. If cultivated in high temperature season, it is prone to pests and diseases, or the quality is poor and the yield is low, which is not suitable for summer cultivation. Its low temperature resistance is very strong. After the temperature reaches -3℃, if the temperature can be gradually increased, the growth can also be resumed, but after reaching -8℃, if the temperature continues to drop to about-1 1℃, the normal growth cannot be resumed and it will suffer from freezing injury.

Chinese cabbage is suitable for planting in loam, sandy loam and black loess with rich organic matter, but not in sandy soil which is easy to leak water and feces, and even less in clay with poor drainage.
