Take a closer look at the Three Kingdoms.

Looking at the Three Kingdoms at a glance is a scenic spot, located in Fang Chuan Village, Hunchun City, Yanbian Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin Province. This is the closest place to the mouth of Tumen River in China, with a straight line distance of about 20 kilometers.

A watchtower has been built in the scenic area, about 12 stories high. Standing on the tower, you can see the Three Kingdoms and the distant Sea of Japan at a glance.

Looking at the tower, the nearby Chinese border defense barracks and posts, Tumen River flows into the sea from China, and our territory completely stops before Tumen River goes to sea. On the left bank of Tumen River estuary is Russia, and on the right bank is North Korea. There is a railway bridge (Tumen River Estuary Bridge) connecting Russia and North Korea.

Overlooking the sea and Tumen River Bridge

Look at the Tumen River Bridge carefully. The bridge is divided into two sections. The high beam belongs to Russia and the low beam belongs to North Korea. That is, Russia is on the left bank of the bridge and North Korea is on the right bank of the bridge.

Take a closer look at the Russian border post and the country gate at the bridgehead on the left bank. After entering the country, the chassis of the train will be changed here, because North Korea and China are standard gauge rails, while Russia is narrow gauge rails, so the chassis of the train will be changed in both directions.

Take a closer look at Russia. The white ball in the distance is a radar station.

Overlooking the border between China and North Korea, the river below is Tumen River, and the Tumen River Bridge is at the far left of the picture. It is said that the North Korean leader visited Russia on the Tumen River Bridge, and there is a building in the distance where the North Korean leader once rested.
