State regulations on green belts on both sides of highways

Legal analysis: the planning scope of expressway green belt is within 30 meters of the outer edge of highway land. The local people's governments at or above the county level shall, according to the principles of ensuring the safety of highway operation and saving land and the needs of highway development, organize the departments of transportation, land and resources to delimit the scope of highway construction control areas.

Legal basis: Article 11 of the Regulations on Highway Safety Protection, local people's governments at or above the county level shall organize departments of transportation, land and resources, and delimit the scope of highway construction control zones according to the principles of ensuring highway operation safety and saving land and the needs of highway development. The range of highway construction control area, the distance from the outer edge of highway land to the outside is: (1) national highway is not less than 20 meters; (two) the provincial highway is not less than 15 meters; (three) the county road is not less than 10 meters; (four) the township road is not less than 5 meters. For expressways, the distance from the outer edge of highway land to the highway construction control area is not less than 30 meters. The scope of the control area of highway bends, interchanges and buildings inside grade crossing is determined according to the requirements of safe sight distance.
