Why Xuzhou Railway Station belongs to Shanghai Railway Bureau?

On March 26, 2008, the Jiangsu section and Anhui section under the jurisdiction of Xuzhou Railway Branch were officially placed under the jurisdiction of Shanghai Railway Bureau, and the Shandong section under the original jurisdiction continued to be under the jurisdiction of Jinan Bureau. At the same time, Xuzhou office of Jinan Railway Bureau was renamed Xuzhou office of Shanghai Railway Bureau.

The stations directly under Shanghai Bureau include Xuzhou Station, Xuzhou North Station, Xuzhou Locomotive Depot, Xuzhou Works Depot, Xuzhou Electric Depot, Xuzhou Power Supply Depot and Xuzhou Locomotive Depot. Xuzhou workshop in Jinan West Depot is included in Nanjing East Depot, Xuzhou workshop in Jinan Depot is included in Hefei Depot and Xuzhou workshop in Jinan Passenger Depot is included in Nanjing Passenger Depot. Xuzhou Railway Public Security Department was placed under the management of Shanghai Railway Public Security Bureau, and Xuzhou Railway Transport Court and Transport Procuratorate were transferred to Shanghai Bureau.
