From the hexagram in "The Book of Changes": "When the sky is healthy, a gentleman will strive to constantly strive for self-improvement; when the terrain is weak, a gentleman will be virtuous in carrying things." The movement of heaven (i.e., nature) is strong and strong, and correspondingly, a gentleman should be resolute and strong, and work hard to achieve greatness; the momentum of the earth is thick and gentle, and a gentleman should increase his virtues and accommodate all things. Ancient Chinese believed that heaven and earth were the largest and contained all things. The understanding of heaven and earth is: the sky is above and the earth is below; the sky is yang and the earth is yin; the sky is gold and the earth is earth; nature is hard and earth is soft. It is believed that the union of heaven and earth brings about the birth of all things and the movement of the four seasons. Without heaven and earth, there would be nothing. Heaven and earth are the universe, and the universe is heaven and earth. This is the ancient Chinese people’s simple materialistic view of the universe, and it is also the Chinese people’s view of the universe. Therefore, in the eight trigrams, the Qian hexagram is the first, followed by the Kun hexagram; Qian is at the top, and Kun is at the bottom; Qian is in the north, and Kun is in the south; the sky is high and strong, and the earth is thick to carry things. Then the philosophy of life is further derived from the explanation attributes of the two hexagrams of Qian and Kun (i.e. heaven and earth), that is, life should be as tall and resolute as the sky and self-improving, and as thick and broad and virtuous as the earth.
