My hometown is a pearl along the Yangtze River-Zhangjiagang. She has trained many talents. Mr Liu Tianhua, a musician, is one of them.

Liu Tianhua was born in a poor peasant family in Yinjiadai, Maqiao Village, Nansha Town. He showed musical talent from an early age. He loves music since he was a child and has rich musical cells. Unfortunately, Liu Tianhua's parents died early, so he had to drop out of school before he even finished high school. Liu Tianhua didn't flinch in the face of difficulties, but studied music harder. Finally, in 19 1 1 year, he went to Shanghai Ming Kai Theatre to work as a musician.

Soon after, Liu Tianhua returned to his hometown due to illness. Liu Tianhua should have had a good rest during this time, but he didn't. Soon, Liu Tianhua set up a folk music performance club, on the one hand, to cultivate musical talents for hometown, on the other hand, to take this opportunity to learn folk musical instruments such as erhu, pipa and suona from old folk artists with an open mind. In addition, he also created the famous erhu solo "Yin in the Disease". In order to repay the kindness of his hometown, he specially held several large-scale folk musical instrument concerts in the open-air square. His superb skills are amazing, and his feedback is touching. Liu Tianhua soon became a famous celebrity in Jiangnan area. The success of Yin in Illness won Liu Tianhua a great reputation and made him a dazzling star in the music industry. However, Liu Tianhua is not complacent. On the contrary, he worked harder and composed more than ten erhu solo tracks and several pipa songs, such as Bright Walking, Beautiful Night, Birds in the Empty Mountain and so on. This makes folk musical instruments that were previously ignored by others elegant and occupy an important position in the music field.

Liu Tianhua's fruitful achievements and excellent reputation have attracted the attention of musicians from all walks of life in the world, and an American music group specially invited him to perform in the United States. Unfortunately, Liu Tianhua contracted scarlet fever while collecting gongs and drums classics in Beijing Tianqiao, and died in 1932 at the age of 38.
