Domestic waste can generally be divided into four major categories: recyclable waste, kitchen waste, hazardous waste and other waste.
Currently, the commonly used garbage disposal methods include: comprehensive utilization, sanitary landfill, incineration for power generation, composting, and resource return. (1) Recyclable garbage: mainly includes five categories: waste paper, plastic, glass, metal and cloth.
1. Waste paper: mainly includes newspapers, periodicals, books, various packaging papers, office paper, advertising paper, cartons, etc. However, it should be noted that paper towels and toilet paper cannot be recycled due to their strong water solubility. Recycle. 2. Plastics: Mainly including various plastic bags, plastic packaging, disposable plastic lunch boxes and tableware, toothbrushes, cups, mineral water bottles, toothpaste wrappers, etc.
3. Glass: mainly includes various glass bottles, broken glass pieces, mirrors, light bulbs, thermos bottles, etc. 4. Metal objects: mainly including cans, cans, etc.
5. Cloth: mainly includes discarded clothes, tablecloths, face towels, school bags, shoes, etc. Through comprehensive processing and recycling of recyclable waste, pollution can be reduced and resources saved.
For example, every ton of waste paper recycled can make 850 kilograms of good paper, save 300 kilograms of wood, and reduce pollution by 74% compared with the same amount of production; for every ton of plastic beverage bottles recycled, 0.7 tons of secondary raw materials can be obtained; every Recycling 1 ton of scrap steel can produce 0.9 tons of good steel, which saves 47% of the cost compared with ore smelting, reduces air pollution by 75%, and reduces water pollution and solid waste by 97%.
2. What are some tips on garbage classification?
The benefits of garbage classification
The benefits of garbage classification are obvious. After the garbage is sorted, it is sent to the factory instead of the landfill, which not only saves land, but also avoids the pollution caused by landfill or incineration, and can also turn waste into treasure. For example, waste batteries are called "micro-killers". It is well known that batteries in daily life contain heavy metals such as mercury or cadmium. If these heavy metals are left underground, they will easily enter the groundwater through rainwater leaching and have a negative impact on water resources. and land causing severe persecution. However, waste batteries contain a variety of useful metal minerals, and their recycling value is very high. Because of the serious hazards and special recycling value of waste batteries, many countries strictly prohibit them from being mixed with garbage. Japanese communities have special yellow buckets to put button batteries and other materials separately. Another example is biological waste such as leftover lettuce, eggshell peels, vegetable leaves and other kitchen waste, which can be used to make good organic fertilizers. For example, the Da Nameng biological waste treatment machine in Huaibaishu Community can dry and crush biological waste to make efficient organic fertilizer. Residents can use it to grow flowers and grass. The vegetables grown using them are safer and healthier than food grown with chemical fertilizers, and are quite popular in supermarkets. Biological waste usually accounts for 40% of the total waste. If they can be turned into organic fertilizer, it will not only save land used for landfills, but also save vehicles and energy to transport them, and prevent them from breeding mosquitoes, flies and bacteria.
Therefore, there are many benefits to garbage classification.
Introduction to environmentally friendly classified trash cans
Generally speaking, common environmentally friendly classified trash cans are divided into green, yellow, and red.
The green ones are for recyclable garbage: paper, plastic, rubber, metal, glass, etc.
Yellow is non-recyclable garbage. Non-recyclable garbage: mainly kitchen garbage, including fruit peels, vegetable
peels, leftovers, etc.
Put away toxic and hazardous waste in red Toxic and hazardous waste: batteries, fluorescent lamps, mercury thermometers,
paint buckets, medicines, cosmetics, etc.

3. Some common sense about garbage classification
Judging from the methods of classifying domestic waste in various cities at home and abroad, they are generally based on the composition of the garbage. The composition and production volume are classified based on the resource utilization and treatment methods of local waste.
For example, Germany is generally divided into paper, glass, metal, plastic, etc.; Australia is generally divided into compostable garbage, recyclable garbage, non-recyclable garbage; Japan is generally divided into combustible garbage, non-burnable garbage, etc. . Today, domestic waste in China can generally be divided into four major categories: recyclable waste, kitchen waste, hazardous waste and other waste.
Currently, the commonly used garbage disposal methods include: comprehensive utilization, sanitary landfill, incineration for power generation, composting, and resource return. Recyclable waste mainly includes five categories: waste paper, plastic, glass, metal and cloth.
Kitchen waste includes food waste such as leftovers, bones, roots and leaves, peels, etc. Hazardous waste includes waste batteries, waste fluorescent tubes, waste mercury thermometers, expired medicines, etc. These wastes require special safety deal with. Other garbage includes bricks, ceramics, slag, toilet paper, paper towels and other waste that are difficult to recycle in addition to the above categories of garbage. Sanitary landfill can effectively reduce the pollution of groundwater, surface water, soil and air.
4. What are some tips on garbage classification?
Personally, I think it is more convenient to have several classified trash cans at home for garbage classification.
Garbage classification is a reform of the traditional way of garbage collection and processing, and a scientific management method for effective garbage disposal. Through waste classification management, maximizing the utilization of waste resources, reducing the amount of waste disposal, and improving the quality of the living environment are one of the urgent issues that all countries in the world are paying attention to.
What is garbage classification? Garbage classification is a reform of the traditional way of garbage collection and treatment, and a scientific management method for effective garbage disposal. Through classified input and collection, useful materials such as paper, plastics, rubber, glass, bottles, metals, and waste household appliances are separated from garbage, recycled, utilized, and transformed into treasures.
Why is garbage classification needed? By collecting garbage by classification, it is easy to sort and process different types of garbage. It can not only improve the utilization level of garbage resources, but also reduce the amount of garbage disposal.
Garbage classification has the following advantages. 1. Reduce the floor space: classify garbage, remove recyclable materials that are difficult to decompose, and reduce the amount of garbage by more than 50%.
2. Reduce environmental pollution: discarded batteries contain toxic substances such as metal mercury, which cause serious harm to humans. Waste plastics in the soil can cause crop yield reduction, so recycling can reduce harm. 3. Waste becomes treasure: my country produces 3 billion plastic fast food boxes and 500 million to 600 million instant noodle bowls every year. Waste plastics account for 3-7% of domestic waste.
One ton of waste plastic can recycle 600 kilograms of unleaded gasoline and diesel. To recycle 1,500 tons of waste paper, there is no need to cut down the trees used to produce 1,200 tons of paper.
Therefore, garbage recycling is both environmentally friendly and resource-saving. How to sort garbage? This can be classified as follows.
Recyclable waste mainly consists of five types of waste paper, plastic, glass, metal and cloth. Waste paper: mainly includes newspapers, journals, books, various packaging papers, office paper, advertising paper, cardboard boxes, etc. However, paper towels and toilet paper are too strong and cannot be reused.
Because it is water-soluble.
Plastic: mainly includes various plastic bags, plastic packaging, disposable plastic lunch boxes and tableware, toothbrushes, cups, mineral water bottles, toothpaste, etc.
Glass: mainly includes various glass bottles, broken glass, mirrors, light bulbs, water heaters, etc. Metal: mainly includes cans, cans, etc.
Dough: mainly includes waste clothes, tablecloths, towels, school bags, shoes, etc. 2. Domestic garbage contains leftovers, bones, vegetable roots, peels and other food residues.
According to biotechnology, it can be processed on site and 0.3 tons of organic fertilizer can be produced per ton. 3. Hazardous waste includes waste batteries, waste fluorescent lamps, waste mercury thermometers, expired medicines, etc. These wastes require special safe handling.
4. In addition to the above types of garbage, other garbage also contains bricks and ceramics, residual soil, toilet paper, paper towels and other waste that are difficult to recycle. Sanitary landfills can effectively reduce groundwater, surface water, Soil and air pollution. d. Misunderstandings about garbage classification.
5. Common sense of garbage classification
Currently, the commonly used garbage disposal methods include comprehensive utilization, sanitary landfill, incineration and composting. Various types of garbage treatment methods 020202
Recyclable garbage treatment methods Among them, the main processing and recycling methods of recyclable garbage are: 021. Garbage Regeneration Method After the garbage is classified, the materials that can be directly used are for reuse. Such as: discarded glass, plastic, metal, paper, books, newspapers, wood, cloth, waste oil, etc. 022. Waste incineration power generation method This method is commonly used in countries around the world. It can not only thoroughly disinfect and remove harmful substances, but also turn waste into energy. 3. The garbage composting method is based on the traditional agricultural fertilizer accumulation principle, using organic garbage and microorganisms in the soil to convert the garbage into organic fertilizer for soil improvement. 024. The garbage biodegradation method uses a variety of bacterial flora with multifunctional and high degradability to accelerate the decomposition of organic and inorganic matter in the garbage, turning waste into treasure and making the best use of it. According to different bacterial species, it is divided into two types: anaerobic degradation and oxidative degradation.
6. Garbage classification knowledge
According to Article 2 of the "Implementation Plan for Domestic Waste Classification System", garbage can be divided into three categories:
1. The main types of hazardous waste include: waste batteries (cadmium nickel batteries, mercury oxide batteries, lead-acid batteries, etc.), waste fluorescent lamps (fluorescent lamps, energy-saving lamps, etc.), waste thermometers, waste blood pressure monitors, waste medicines and their packaging, waste Paints, solvents and their packaging, waste pesticides, disinfectants and their packaging, waste film and waste photo paper, etc.
Hazardous waste contains heavy metals and toxic substances that are harmful to human health, or waste that causes actual or potential harm to the environment. Special places or containers should be set up for these garbage to classify, collect and temporarily store different types of hazardous waste, and hazardous waste signs should be set up in conspicuous locations.
2. Perishable waste, the main categories include: kitchen waste generated by canteens, hotels, restaurants, etc. of relevant units, vegetable and fruit waste, carrion, meat and bones generated by farmers’ markets and agricultural product wholesale markets, Egg shells, offal of livestock and poultry products, etc.
When placing perishable garbage, drain the water, put it into special garbage bags, and tie the bag tightly. Perishable trash cans should be covered with lids to avoid contaminating the surrounding environment. Perishable garbage should be transported to professional units for processing in sealed special vehicles. During the transportation process, leakage, spillage and odor control should be strengthened.
3. Recyclables, the main varieties include: waste paper, waste plastics, scrap metal, waste packaging, waste textiles, waste electrical and electronic products, waste glass, waste paper-plastic-aluminum composite packaging, etc.
Comprehensive treatment and recycling of recyclable garbage can reduce pollution and save resources. For example, for every ton of waste paper recycled, 850 kilograms of good paper can be made and 300 kilograms of wood can be saved; for every ton of plastic beverage bottles recycled, 0.7 tons of secondary raw materials can be obtained; for every ton of scrap steel recycled, 0.9 tons of good steel can be made, which is better than using ore. Smelting saves 47% of costs, reduces air pollution by 75%, and reduces water pollution and solid waste by 97%.
Extended information:
my country is a big waste-producing country.
Data show that in 2019, the national annual domestic waste production was about 400 million tons, and was increasing at a rate of about 8 per year. Beijing alone has more than 9 million tons, which has become a problem that must be solved for high-quality development in the new era.
In March 2017, the General Office of the State Council forwarded the "Implementation Plan for Domestic Waste Classification System" from the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. The "Plan" proposes that by the end of 2020, a system of laws, regulations and standards related to waste classification will be basically established, a domestic waste classification model that can be replicated and promoted will be formed, and mandatory classification of domestic waste will be implemented in 46 cities.
On July 1, 2019, the "Shanghai Domestic Waste Management Regulations" was officially implemented, becoming the first Chinese waste classification pilot city. It clarified various responsible entities, forced source reduction, and implemented classification. Full supervision of the system. In addition to Shanghai, garbage classification work in many cities across the country is also gradually advancing.

7. Little knowledge about garbage classification
Knowledge about garbage classification
In Germany, throwing away garbage is very particular. If you accidentally throw it in the wrong place, the entire community may suffer. I have been studying in Germany since 2002, pursuing a master's degree in environmental engineering. After school, I also worked in a garbage recycling company, and I personally felt the importance that Germans attach to environmental protection.
It took me a month to figure out how to throw away garbage
Germany has the highest garbage recycling rate in Europe, and the garbage classification system is also very complicated.
Domestic waste can be divided into 5 major categories: organic waste, recyclable packaging, paper, glass products and batteries. Different garbage is collected by different garbage bins, and in order to facilitate collection, the garbage bins are often placed in different places. The first thing I did after finding a house in Germany was to ask my neighbors for advice on how to properly throw away garbage. It took me a whole month to fully understand it.
Trash cans are rarely open-top, and most are of sliding-lid design. When throwing away garbage, push the lid open with force. The lid will automatically return to its original position after you let go. This has two benefits: First, it prevents rainwater from falling into the box and turns the trash can into a water tank. Secondly, it can reduce the odor escape.
Trash cans on the street are usually covered with plastic bags in yellow and blue colors. The former collects recyclable waste such as paper packaging, while the latter accommodates household waste such as fruit peels.
The trash can in the kitchen is generally required to be covered with a blue plastic bag. The usual leftover meals, melon peels and fruit scraps, etc. are thrown here. When the bag is full, tie it into a knot and carry it to a designated place outside the house. The cleaning staff will know how to sort and dispose of the plastic bag just by looking at its color.
For organic waste (food, etc.), Germany usually incinerates or buries it, but since 2005, the European Union has banned landfilling of organic waste. Incineration causes little pollution, and the heat can be used to generate electricity or heat. There is usually a green box next to the organic trash can, which is where paper is thrown. Unnecessary waste paper, newspapers, magazines, books, etc. are thrown there.
However, it should be noted that cartons and cartons cannot be thrown in. Because they are recyclable packaging, they should be thrown into special yellow plastic bags. Chinese people who have just arrived in Germany often don’t know this. This kind of plastic bag with an eye-catching recyclable logo can be obtained for free from the nearest post office and supermarket. Other recyclable packaging such as can shells, plastic boxes, etc. can be placed in this bag regardless of their material as long as they are printed with a recyclable logo.
There is a box at the door of every supermarket in Germany to collect used batteries. Glass bottles and jars are thrown into different trash bins according to color. Glass trash bins usually come in groups of three, and the bins are marked with eye-catching color signs: brown, green, transparent and colorless to remind you not to throw away the wrong ones.
We won’t do it again if it happens a second time
The vast majority of German people support Germany’s complicated garbage classification.
A friend of mine is studying at the University of Dresden. He said that when he first arrived in Germany, he lived in a student apartment. Since he didn’t have this habit in China, he mixed the garbage together and threw it out. One day, he saw the dormitory administrator wearing gloves opening his discarded garbage bags and resorting them. He was shocked and ashamed.
If you don’t follow these rules, trouble will come. Once, I was working in a garbage recycling company and followed my colleagues to a community. A German colleague opened a yellow plastic bag that said it was recyclable and found a large ball of moldy flour inside. Because the flour was too heavy, it burst the plastic bag. It was sprinkled all over the ground. According to regulations, flour should be packed in blue bags. Soon, the staff posted a warning sheet at the door of the community with the following meaning: Someone in your community littered and made a mistake. Now the first warning is issued. If it happens a second time, we will not come back.
I heard from the Germans that once the garbage recycling company occurs for the second time, the garbage collection company will "***" punish the entire community, and the community management staff will have to spend a lot of energy to coordinate, so everyone is extra careful.
The salary of German cleaning workers is generally 12 euros per hour, which is about 3,000 euros a month, which is no lower than that of office white-collar workers. (Source/"Metropolitan Express")
