Protection Status of hua county Section of Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal

Ownership: the mixture of state, collective and private ownership.

Protection unit level: the seventh batch of national key cultural relics protection units has been declared. The affiliated cultural relic "hua county Dawang Temple" is a cultural relic protection unit in Henan Province.

Management organization and personnel composition: Hua County Grand Canal Cultural Relics Protection Leading Group. A protection organization composed of the county government's Culture, Radio, Film and Television Press and Publication Bureau, Urban Construction Bureau, Planning Bureau, River Affairs Bureau, Daokou Town Government and villages along the river.

Preservation status: canal body, wharf, sluice, ancient city wall of Daokou ancient town, Yimian Street, Shunhe South Street, Shunhe North Street, Dawang Temple and other cultural relics. Basically well preserved.

Protection regulations: According to the Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) on the Protection of Cultural Relics, the Regulations on the Implementation of Cultural Relics Protection in People's Republic of China (PRC) and the principles and policies of cultural relics protection, our county issued the Notice of the People's Government of Huaxian County on the Protection of Huaxian Section of the Grand Canal and Daokou Ancient Town. River affairs, water affairs, environmental protection, planning, transportation and other departments have formulated protection measures according to industry laws and regulations.

Protection measures: In 2006, the county government entrusted Beijing Davos Gaofeng Tourism Landscape Design Center to compile the planning of Weihe Folk Culture Leisure Block in Daokou Town with the theme of Canal Old Street. In 2007, an investment of100,000 yuan was made to build a regulation canal connecting the Dagong River and the Grand Canal to introduce the Yellow River water into the canal. In 2008, Daokou Town Government invested 2 million yuan to carry out environmental management and protection work along the canal. The serious environmental pollution around the canal has been greatly alleviated through the treatment. Strengthened the protection of cultural heritage.

Cultural exhibition: it is planned to protect and display the canal itself, docks, sluices, Daokou ancient town streets, Dawang Temple and other cultural relics.
