First Day: Hangzhou-Fenghua-Huangxian Forest Park

At 8:30 in the morning, four of us drove from Hangzhou. It is about 202 kilometers from Hangzhou to Huangxian Village, Fenghua, Ningbo, and the journey takes about 2 hours and 50 minutes. According to the navigation, we passed the S4 Airport Expressway - G92 Hangzhou Bay Ring Expressway - G15 Shenhai Expressway, then transferred to the Ningqiu Line and Baiqiu Line, and arrived at Huangxian Village at 11:20.

After lunch, check into the farm hotel and bed and breakfast. After resting for a while, we started to play in Huangxian Forest Park. High mountains and flowing water, temples and small bridges hidden in the forest, the natural ecological landscape and the historical and cultural landscape are integrated, giving me a novel experience of visiting natural beauty.

When we went, it happened to be the rainy season. Although the weather was gloomy, the sense of layering brought by the layers of clouds and the beauty of the occasional sunlight shining through the gaps in the antique walls and tower eaves really shocked me. Looking at the entire scenery from the top of Dongyuan Tower, the houses are arranged in an orderly manner, surrounded by mountains and rivers, giving it a unique view of a paradise.

“If you don’t visit the Great Wall, you are not a true man.” Although I have climbed the Badaling Great Wall in Beijing, this was the first time I heard about the Great Wall at Sea, so I wanted to appreciate its charm. After coming out of the Forest Park Scenic Area, we drove up the mountain to the entrance of the Great Wall of China on the Huangxian Sea, visited the Tulou Seaview Hotel, and climbed the Great Wall of the Sea.

Climb up the stone road, feel the majestic Great Wall of Anti-Japanese War, and have a panoramic view of Fenghua’s beautiful scenery. Climbing to the top of the Great Wall is the spacious Qi Jiguang Square. I can't help but admire that heroic past in my mind.

After that, we went down the mountain and returned to BB to rest. Dinner is still farm food. We don’t know whether the dishes cooked by the landlady are too delicious or whether climbing the Great Wall consumes too much energy for us. All the delicacies on the table were wiped out within a few turns.

The villa we live in is backed by a hill. There is no noise at night except for the voices of friends, which eliminates the sense of oppression caused by the big city. This is also the first night protected area. The outdoor light is very weak and you can't see your fingers. Sitting on the hanging chair at the door, watching the stars with my friends, the summer was chirping, and it was extremely safe to sleep at night, which made me feel refreshed for the next day's trip.

The next day: Baiyanshan Windmill Road - Pier Village - Hangzhou

After breakfast at 8:30 in the morning, we drove to Baiyanshan Windmill Road, located in the windmill road parking lot. At around 9 o'clock, we arrived at Da'ao Village, Hengxi Reservoir, Hengxi Town, Yinzhou District, Ningbo. Turn left after a small bridge in Da'ao Village and follow a road to Baiyan Mountain. Since all roads are winding mountain roads with many sharp turns and slopes, you must drive carefully. At 9:30, we arrived at the parking lot at the top of the mountain. This is a public parking lot. People who come here for self-driving tours will park their cars here. There is still some distance from the location of the parking lot on Windmill Road. After we park our car in the parking lot, we will walk up the mountain. It takes about 5 minutes to climb to the "four forks" of Windmill Road. There will be four paths leading to different fan numbers. We chose to go to No. 27-30 Fan Road. There are tea plantations on the mountains on both sides of the road. Occasionally, you will see tea farmers working hard and windmills whirring. Looking at the scenery along the way, the boredom and fatigue in your heart will disappear unconsciously. After taking a photo of the tourists, I will return to Sicha Road, where local residents will sell various snacks such as tea eggs, salt-baked potatoes, fried rice cakes, fried noodles, etc. And the price is very cost-effective. Maybe they spent too much energy, and all kinds of snacks were "sucked in by the storm" by us, and their stomachs were greatly satisfied.

After descending the mountain, in the afternoon, we navigated through Township Road 031-County Road 002 and arrived at Matou Village. Stopping at Pier Village, we walked along the ancient road, trying to feel the charm of this thousand-year-old village. Exquisite buildings of the Ming and Qing dynasties have risen from the ground, and old wooden houses with carved beams and paintings stand beside the alleys.

First, we boarded the ancient leisure road. The road is not very long. When we climbed to the top of the mountain, we felt the peaceful mountain scenery, which made me feel sleepy and tired. We followed the signs set up by Pier Village to guide tourists, entered the ancient alleys and entered the ancient houses. Although we don’t know the history of each ancient house, when facing these precarious houses, we always subconsciously feel the heavy time.

The local villagers are also very warm and friendly, so we met the villagers who enthusiastically showed us the way, and the old lady who greeted us in a charitable way while filming the travel video. This is a very humane ancient village that always warms people's hearts.

Unfortunately, it was not a weekend when we went there, because on weekends, the villagers of Ma Tou Village gathered in front of the restaurant to make rice cakes and sesame cakes, which was very lively. Unfortunately, due to misfortune of timing, we were not able to eat freshly baked rebazan together.

In addition to traditional houses, Ma Tou Village also has a cafe called "Meet Ma Tou in the Alley", which is the training base of the China Academy of Art and has a special way of ringing the bell to call the boss.

Fenghua is the birthplace of beef jerky noodles. How can you not try this special delicacy when you come to the local area? After visiting Pier Village, we went to Qiucun Town for a bowl of beef jerky noodles. There are small shops selling beef jerky noodles everywhere here, priced at 15-20 yuan a bowl. The beef thin slices and pork ribs noodles were worthy of the local specialties, and even the soup base was completely consumed by us.

1. There are many mosquitoes in the mountains in summer, so remember to bring toilet water.

2. When walking on the ancient road in the rainy season, the attached moss will be a bit slippery. It’s best to wear a pair of comfortable, non-slip shoes.
