The teachers and students took the train and arrived in Guilin, Guangxi on November 27. On December 2, Japanese aircraft bombed Guilin. The residences of teachers and students were bombed and set on fire, causing heavy losses. On December 7, Dean Mao Yisheng convened everyone to give a speech. He encouraged everyone: "Tangyuan has a long history, a glorious tradition of hard work, strong cohesion, and indomitable vitality. As long as everyone strengthens confidence, unites as one, and moves forward bravely, the war of resistance will be won, the Japanese invaders will be defeated, and the country will be defeated." The future is bright." He raised his arms and shouted: "China will not be destroyed! Tangyuan will never forget! We will definitely find a place where we study." His speech was righteous and touching, and strengthened everyone's confidence in moving forward. On December 9, teachers and students set off from Liangjiang Town in batches and continued westward on foot, spending the night at dawn and heading towards Liuzhou. It is difficult to describe the hardships of walking through rugged and overgrown mountain paths during the day and spending the night in thatched huts or inns.

After a week of long journey, the teachers and students arrived in Liuzhou on December 15 and moved into a middle school. During this period, the school learned that there is a Confucius Temple in Pingyue, Guizhou. The place is relatively spacious and can be used as a school building. Pingyue is a small mountain town where Han and ethnic minorities live together. It is located in the middle of Guizhou Province and surrounded by mountains not far east of Guiyang City. The transportation there is inconvenient, there are few connections with the outside world, and the economic conditions are very difficult. However, the school considered that there were no universities in Guizhou at that time, and the school's move to Guizhou would play a certain role in promoting the anti-Japanese and national salvation movement in Guizhou and improving the local education and culture level. The Communist Party organization of the school used members of the "Chinese National Liberation Vanguard" to work among the students. The student union voted and the majority agreed to move to Guizhou.

On January 3, 1939, Dean Mao returned to Liuzhou after discussing with Guizhou Province and announced to everyone that the new school site would be selected in Pingyue County, Guizhou Province. Slogans welcoming teachers and students of Jiao Tong University were posted along the streets in Pingyue County, and the streets were filled with welcoming crowds. The scene was very warm and touching. During the migration process, I received support and support from alumni and all walks of life. After more than 70 days and a journey of more than 2,000 miles, we finally arrived at the foot of the beautiful Li'e Mountain and the clear rhinoceros beach, and continued to run a school in Pingyue (today's Fuquan), Guizhou.

The arrival of Jiaotong University in Pingyue has greatly promoted the development of local culture and economic prosperity in Pingyue, and the changes in cultural and educational undertakings have been the most prominent. Pingyue is located in a remote mountainous area. There is no high school, and there are not many children studying in junior high school or primary school. The educational level is very low. After Jiaotong University moved in, the school specially selected outstanding students to go to local junior high schools to enrich the teaching staff, and founded "Tangshan Institute of Technology concurrently runs Pingyue Zhongshan High School", with Professor Li Feiying as the director, thus improving the level of middle school education. The life of students studying in Pingyue is very difficult, especially for students from occupied areas, who have cut off their financial resources and rely on a loan of 6 yuan per person per month to survive.
