It is illegal to exaggerate the function of feed additives and publicize them.

The case shows that Xiamen Weilai Feed Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Xiamen Weilai Feed") published illegal advertisements. On the feed page sold on the official WeChat account, the party concerned posted "Promoting the growth and weight gain speed of pigs, and the average weight gain can be increased by more than 10%. Promote energy metabolism, reduce feed-meat ratio, improve pork quality, and increase lean meat rate and slaughter rate ",which violates the provisions of Article 21 of People's Republic of China (PRC) Advertising Law. According to Article 58 of the Advertising Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), in July, 2020, the jimei district Municipal Market Supervision Administration made an administrative penalty, ordered it to stop publishing illegal advertisements, eliminated the adverse effects, and imposed a fine of 4,500 yuan.

Article 21 of the Advertising Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) stipulates that advertisements for pesticides, veterinary drugs, feed and feed additives shall not contain the following contents:

(1) Assertions or guarantees indicating efficacy and safety;

(two) the use of scientific research institutions, academic institutions, technology promotion agencies, industry associations or professionals, users of the name or image for recommendation and certification.
