2. Current status of the elderly population in Chong'an Temple Community

3. The current situation of living, elderly care and home services for the elderly in the community

(1) The decline of physiological functions affects the daily life of the elderly. However, the dependence of elderly parents on the care of their children hinders their children's normal work and life to a certain extent. The cost of care is significant. This makes it difficult for both children and the elderly. On the contrary, the demand for daily care services provided by the community is even stronger. If there are other suitable caregivers, the situation will be greatly improved. In the survey, the daily care services that the elderly hope to be provided by the community include: door-to-door service by hourly workers, day care in community day care rooms, door-to-door cooking, daily door-to-door inspections, shopping agents, assistance with bathing, manicure and pedicure, haircuts, home repairs, Electrical repair, door-to-door delivery, mailing, etc.

(2) The needs of the elderly for health services. Community health service centers have become the first choice for medical treatment for the elderly. Door-to-door services or home care are another way for the elderly to receive health services. During the visit, we learned that the vast majority of the elderly are willing to receive door-to-door services or home care from community health service centers. Chronic diseases are more common among the elderly, and most elderly people have health problems of varying degrees. The health needs of the elderly are divided into accompanying medical treatment, home hospital beds, professional nursing, finding and retrieving medicines, first aid, rehabilitation, health lectures and guidance, etc. Among the most important health service needs reported by the elderly are the need for health lectures and accompanying medical services, followed by professional health care and emergency services. The vast majority of the elderly have needs for community health services to varying degrees, and more than half of the elderly have multiple needs. Therefore, the development of community health services has broad prospects.

(3) The spiritual and cultural needs of the elderly. Spiritual and cultural services are an important part of the elderly’s requirements for community home care services. More than half of the elderly have various needs for community spiritual and cultural services, including sports and entertainment, performances, painting, legal consultation, psychological consultation, reading and newspaper reading, etc. It can be inferred from this that the vast majority of the elderly have varying degrees of community spiritual and cultural service needs.

6. Strengthen management and build a service team for the elderly

To do a good job in home care services, the key is to build a service team for the elderly. We mainly focus on building three teams. The first is to strengthen the team of home care service managers. 7. Future work plans
