Choose an auspicious day

Jiang Taigong, Jiang Shang, was a famous soldier when the Western Zhou Dynasty was founded, and later became the embodiment of folk gods and justice. Traditional houses often use Jiang Taigong's name as an overwhelming object, writing or carving on bricks, water, stones and paper. If there is a tall building or street opposite the house, write "Jiang Taigong is here" with a wooden sign and nail it on the wall or above the door frame. In the case of exorcism, write "Jiang Taigong is here and everything is forgiven" on yellow paper. Temporary town symbols are written on paper. If they are permanent, they should be engraved on bricks and built on walls.

Helongkou

Because most people in northern Shaanxi live in caves, the last process of building caves is to "close the mouth", that is, leave a gap in the middle of the kiln roof and put a piece of dragon stone prepared in advance, and the whole new kiln will be built. Sealing the Longkou is as important as the "upper beam" of the building, so the locals pay great attention to some auspicious customs when sealing the Longkou. They also offered sacrifices to the gods in advance to ward off evil spirits and keep peace, so this custom still exists today.

At the same time, the owner of the new cave will put a pair of red chopsticks, a writing brush, an ingot of ink, a yellow calendar, a red cloth bag full of grain, five-color silk thread and so on. Beside the dragon stone, in order to reach the high satellite, all goes well, the grain is abundant and the six livestock are prosperous. When Longshiguan was closed, like throwing beams in other places, food buns, coins, needle bags, food and other things were scattered from the top of the kiln to the crowd, which was called "spreading food buns". It is said that grabbing grain buns will bring rich financial resources and good luck again and again.

Choose a housing base

If they live in mountainous areas, their houses are usually on gentle slopes. Therefore, in addition to the choice of natural geographical conditions, they should also choose the auspicious foundation in their ethnic areas to ensure the safety of their homes. For example, whenever some ethnic minorities are ready to build a new house, they always wrap two packets of rice wine in banana leaves, bury one packet at each end in the selected place according to the length of the house, and dig it out three to five days later. If rice wine tastes sweet, it is considered auspicious and suitable for building a house here. Otherwise, if the wine tastes sour or is eaten by ants, it is considered unlucky and not suitable for building houses.

Another method is to take a piece of bamboo, cut it in half, and mural the number of rooms to be built on a piece of bamboo with charcoal. Xin chuan ju qi Xiang
