Where is the old site of Cangxi Farmers Association?

The former site of Cangxi Farmers Association is located in Cangxi Village, Chengxi Town, Longhua District, Haikou City.

In June 1926, Ke Jiayu, Wu Qianxiu and Yan Xianmo, members of the Communist Party of China, went to Cangdong and Cangxi to carry out party organization building work.

In February 1927, the Cangxi Village Party branch was formally established. Under the guidance of the party branch, in April of the same year, the Cangxi Farmers Association was organized and established, and the Young Pioneers, Children's League, Women's Association, and Farmers' Night School were successively established. The Cangxi Village Party branch uses these positions to publicize the Party's principles and policies to farmers, instill revolutionary principles, and impart cultural knowledge.

During the Anti-Japanese War, under the initiative and leadership of the Cangxi Village Party branch, young people from Cangxi Village and nearby villages joined the ranks of the Anti-Japanese War. While constantly enriching and expanding its own organizational strength, the Cangxi Village Party Branch actively led the people to carry out the revolutionary struggle against the Japanese invaders. The Party branch of Cangxi Village not only delivered a large amount of food and materials to the anti-Japanese troops, but also mobilized young people to join the army and join the war. It effectively attacked the Japanese and puppet troops who ruled the suburbs of Haikou and made positive contributions to the victory of the Anti-Japanese War.

During the War of Liberation, the Cangxi Village Party branch actively engaged in propaganda against the civil war, organizing personnel to engrave, distribute, and post leaflets and slogans, and exposed the Kuomintang's conspiracy to tear up the peace agreement and launch a civil war. The Cangxi Village Party branch also accurately collected internal intelligence of the Kuomintang and reported this information to the higher-level party organizations in a timely manner, providing accurate enemy information for the PLA's cross-sea operations.
