How to teach freshmen to know new words?
First, classroom teaching is flexible.
Literacy teaching is particularly important in Chinese teaching in the first grade of primary school. The new textbook for senior one requires memorizing a certain number of words before learning pinyin. This is very difficult for children who have just entered school. In the future literacy teaching, we try to combine pictures with words, so that students can read easily in an intuitive image and achieve good teaching results.
The process of literacy is boring. How to create a cheerful reading atmosphere for children? The author thinks that this effect can be achieved by introducing games into the classroom. When teaching the first grade Chinese class "going to school", let the children perform the dialogue between "Tintin", "Dongdong" and "Teacher" and the dialogue between "Tintin" and "Dongdong" in different roles. Combined with the teacher's guidance, after several groups of performance exercises, the children learned twelve new words more accurately in the game. This is not easy in the first Chinese study in the new semester of senior one. Later, with the improvement of literacy, we introduced interesting games such as "Walking out of the crossword puzzle palace" and "Winning the flag at the top of the mountain" into the classroom. The children are enthusiastic about literacy in a cheerful atmosphere and have achieved the expected teaching purpose.
(3) Help and learn from each other to speed up literacy.
Learning is a process of mutual assistance, especially for first-grade pupils. Therefore, we have always advocated mutual learning in teaching. First of all, the children at the same table can be regarded as the smallest mutual learning group, and they can discuss and review each other during the learning process. This not only teaches children that they should help each other, but also subtly teaches them the spirit of cooperative learning. Secondly, in general literacy teaching, if children have words they don't know or forget, they can ask classmates or teachers at the same table. As long as you learn to use new words, you can get good comments no matter what method you use. This practice not only speeds up the whole class's literacy process, but also helps children learn a good way to start literacy: ask others for advice.
Second, extracurricular guidance and interest orientation.
In-class literacy is the main way of literacy teaching, but it is not the only way. The author believes that extracurricular literacy is often richer and more important, and we should actively guide students to read after class, which is also an important embodiment of the new curriculum reform.
(1) Make full use of campus culture to guide children to read.
Every child has a certain desire to read, and as long as we actively guide them, we will certainly receive good results. A friend told such a story: he went shopping with his daughter, who was watching while walking. Suddenly, her daughter asked, "Dad, what do you mean by' rich mobile phone'? No money to make a phone call? "My friend couldn't help laughing after seeing it. The original billboard said "wired telephone" and "wireless telephone". Hearing this, the author was deeply inspired: every child has curiosity and a desire to read. Why can't we use the surrounding cultural atmosphere for literacy education? Therefore, on the first day of first-grade children's enrollment, the author makes full use of Pengzhou Experimental Primary School, a place with profound cultural heritage, to lead the children to visit and familiarize themselves with the school, and at the same time to let the students learn Pengzhou Experimental Primary School, Lei Feng, Civilization and other words. (2) Use stories to stimulate children's interest in literacy.
In daily teaching, the author insists on telling children stories for a certain period of time. I remember telling a story for the first time, and the children listened with relish. But in the most wonderful place, I suddenly stopped talking. Looking at the children's eager eyes, the author told them: "The story behind can only be told after reading the story book", and said that only by reading more words can we finish reading the story book and tell a wonderful story. The next day, many parents called and said, "Teacher, my child used to only like watching TV, but yesterday he asked me to tell stories and teach him to know the words on it, which was unimaginable in the past!" Now some children in the class can read story books and tell stories simply. Although they stutter, it can be seen that they are very interested in literacy and their enthusiasm for learning Chinese is growing.
(3) Making a "literacy bag" to consolidate literacy achievements.
Children know more words, and if they don't consolidate and use them in time, they will gradually forget them. Therefore, the author guides children to make a "literacy package" in class. Write the words you know every day on a piece of paper card and put them in the bag. Take out the word card every week and know the words on it. The children review and consolidate all the students' words while experiencing success. In this way, the "literacy package" will gradually become heavier, the children's literacy will gradually increase, and their knowledge will be richer.
The new curriculum reform has a long way to go. As front-line educators, they have the responsibility to boldly explore and reform the traditional learning mode, so that children can learn happily and independently in an inspiring and developmental atmosphere.
